How do you find the most popular keywords in any particular niche? So if I was a hunter, and I wanted to find the most popular keywords related to duck hunting, what or how would I go about doing this? Thank-You
yes, we agree. Google Adwords tool is the king in finding or researching keyword ideas. Also, don't target the obvious keywords as those are too competitive!
Why don't you use Goolge Keyword Tool? It will tell you how many searches are done on all keywords you type and all related word searches.
i agree. it's almost everyone's favorite keyword tool. i usually research keywords that my competitors are ranking for, then i outsource ALL my link building.
A great trick is to find articles written related to your niche on ezine articles. In the google search bar type this exactly as follows. "yourkeywords" site:ezinearticles.com Copy and paste each article title that pops up in google, into the google keyword tool. You will get multiple weird keyword variations with little competition.
Google keyword tool is very good. It gives a lot of additional keywords related to the keyword you enter and approximate monthly search volumes both globally and locally for the country you specify.
i outsource most of the work to the philippines. i'm not allowed to post links here yet. but here's the name of the site: LEXORSOFT just g@@gle it.....
The Google Keyword Tool is by far the best place to get keyword ideas and a great way to see what the search volume potential could be. When I am doing keyword research for companies SEO stuff I don't have time download all the csv files for the many keywords that my clients are trying to target. I found that to be a pain in the but. But, I found this app that hooks it up. You can enter a bunch of keywords and it will automatically download all the csv files with all the related keywords. I cost some money, but it is well worth at least checking it out. I think there is a YouTube video on the home page. Google "Keyword Tool Dominator".
Why do you need the most popular keywords anyway? The competition will be way too high. Use the Google Keyword Tool to get some good keywords: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Yeah, google keyword tool is great, once used correctly. I have about 900+ niche sites myself and previously I would use the g kw tool but I found this was fairly labour intensive and also it can be off by a sizeable amount in terms of searches, so I would tend to halve the number to be on the safe side. When I got past my first 200 sites I invested in micro niche finder, which is fantastic imo, I would now use this for everything and look for a "sweet spot" as it were between number of searches and competing sites for those kwords I want to targer,, that being long tail buyer kwords
I don't think the monthly search volume estimate is off that much at all with the g kw tool, however the strategy you use is good because if you get a #1 ranking you can expect to get approx. 50% of the total clicks in the organic SERPs.
Google insights. You can not only see trends over certain time spans but also break it down by country and region. When doing a search I look for 'breakout' keywords then I use either Market Samurai to check it out then google keyword tool to double check the data.
hey guys I was talking to my mentor today who does a lot with adwords and he was going over how scientific google is when it comes to using adwords and what they are really looking for and how that even though you are using competitive keywords, if you are delivering a great user experience you can lower that... With that said he was recommending keyword spy... With that service, it's a little pricey but you can actually look at any web page you know is getting a lot of traffic in your niche and see what they are using for keywords organically and with pay per click... Just a thought...
Wanna know another great trick when doing keyword research?? I bet you do. The #1 spot on google, gets an average of 15% of the clicks. That 15% number may change but anyways... In the google keyword tool, when using exact match search, choose to show average adwords cpc. Multiply the google adwords cpc by 15% of the exact search volume, and that is what YOU can make every month with a well monetized website.
