I do like the new layout, but I've always preferred the one that's been around since Adsense started up. It'll probably increase my earnings (hopefully).

    :)

Google is definitely trying new adsense layouts and features in some websites for the last couple of days. Have a look at the below screenshot taken from a blog.

Thanks for the screenshot. I also heard there was a version with the definition following the link title like this:
Link Title Here Then the definition begins,
then continues underneath, but I cannot confirm.

I already noticed this on my site also. This is seriously irritating readers on the website. They think it's a normal link and click on it.

As long as Google is the one doing it, you're OK. But irritating users and uping bouncebacks is a problem. I would change your ad colors so your visitors "know it's an ad".

This may increase clickthroughs... who knows? Google will test it. But clicks that are made by mistake will not win any fans from Google Advertisers if they do not convert. Who knows if this will stick or not.

I believe Google's move to add the URL next to the link title is supposed to make it "more obvious" that it's an external link in the hopes of increasing advertiser's conversions. We'll have to wait and see.
