The Proxy Discussion Thread

Hello everyone!

I'm creating a new proxy script specially geared towards people with popular proxies. If you have more than one dedicated server you'll probably be interested in this. It will let you run more proxies on one server than ever before.

So far I've only implemented CSS and HTML parsing, but javascript is top priority.

You can read about my benchmarks against Glype on there, but to save you the time I'll just let you know that 10,000 parsings of the myspace homepage took Glype's parser 191 seconds, while it took mine 35 seconds.

Javascript parsing is going to substantially slow down my parser, so I can't promise that it will be much faster than Glype's after that. One thing I'm aiming for though is high compatibility, and I'll be focusing on that more than the speed.

This will not be a free script. You'll need to own/rent a dedicated server or a VPN to run it, as it comes as a PHP extension and all the speed savings will be lost if it's loaded dynamically.

I can get on it fine, I just tested it through a proxy and it's viewable to the public. What error do you get?

 

Im now able to view your blog, maybe it was on my end, or briefly was unavailible.

Erm, bought the point proxy script last week, and that guy does not even reply to my emails. I guess, atleast he actually sent me the files. But support or even responces would be good.

Hello, im running a proxy website for a long time and now my free host suspended my account at their server

anybody here can provide a free hosting for a glype proxy website , let's say the proxy form is submitted from 1000 to 2000 times / day

also there is a developed toolbar for my proxy and it has around 1000 active users , the proxy form is available there so users can use it directly from the toolbar, i will also give a link in helpful links drop-down menu at the toolbar if you provided the host for free

Proxy List Script or Point Proxy, depends which style you prefer.

Could i ask for some help please i have just setup a new proxy site Scepd.net using the glype script i have still to add the new logo which i have just finished but what i would llike some help on is how can i find some other templates for the script it does not have to be anything fancy ?? the other question is i have it installed on a dedicated server which has 8gig mem and 3TB bandwidth would that be all right bandwidth while i set the site i understand that these type of sites can eat bandwidth the current domain was one that came with a site that i had for a short time duration before it went down due to server problems.

Bandwith should be ok for now, you probably have lots of reserve. You may want to block "bad countries" to protect yourself from Adsense Smart Pricing.
You can use Maxmind GeoIP for blocking.

@vahing that information that you have provided has been fantastic but the adsense issue will not be a problem the reason being is i am planning to use it as a promotional site for alot of my other websites i may put some other form of revenue earning adverts on the site but adsense will not be added as i dont want to loose it as it is my main form of income on some of my other sites.

Require some help from the proxy experts please this is related to my new site which has been setup using the glype script it appears to be working fine but some times i am getting some thing called libcurl error ??? this is the site as it should normally be Scepd.net but this is the error that i am getting Error as i have only just set the site up is this anything to worry about or do we have a small glitch.

Any glype experts that can tell me what this means please.Thanks

 

some temporary network error with ypour hosting. it will resolve after some time normally.

I think you have an error with the CURL on the server. I can't load any site through your proxy, including Google.

 

Hi Mega B, I think that's something linked at DNS of your server (local dns)! I told this, because if I use an IP address instead of URL address your proxy works well.
