filter competitor ad will increate CPC? Why? Because it's a good match but pay low? Or people just leave and never come back?

from my experience, filtering low paying advertisers really increase my CPC, there are cases where one of my auto blog only shows 24 impressions and 2 clicks (I don't display public ads to increase CTR) but those 2 clicks are worth $1.45

there will probably some ads that won't be a great match but it will be a good match and those good match pays well.

it still boils down to preference, do you prefer 50 great match ads that pays 0.01 per click or few ads but each ads have higher CPC (assuming your niche is a low paying one), just my 2 cents

It depends on the niche and keywords you target. I have an adsense site which always gets min. 1,30 € per click. I don't need to block or filter any low paying advertisers. If you choose the right niche (phisical products for example) - you will always end up with high paying advertisers.

Keywords like "funny videos", "funny pictures" or "pc backgrounds" are USELESS, except if you can get hundrends of thousands of visitors a day.

which is why blocking all low paying ads will help increase your revenue. as i've said, you will probably get good and not great matches but those good matches will pay a lot more than those great matches

    ok, the question is:
how you know competitor's ads are low pay ads?
Is there anyway you can know which ads are low pay and which ads are high pay?

For now, I even not know which ads got clicked

The list have been compiled by someone (as I've noted I forgot where I got it) and I also mentioned this site - http://www.adsblacklist.com/ - try to check it out as it tracks low paying advertisers

your right this effect most on the adsense revenue but if you got some sites with other topics on same adsense and block ads such as dating category and others then who will be in profit or loss so this term is good for single site publisher but not for the multi topic niche publishers

one of my friend from another forum also agrees that this approach is not great, you can read his argument here - http://slackermommy.com/internet/google-adsense-internet/another-view-about-my-post-how-to-increase-cpc-in-2-minutes

as for me, i plan on testing my setting for a month or two before reassessing if I will stick to this or not as i am enjoying higher CPC even though I lave less impressions (I have set it so that no public ads will show when there are no relevant ads to increase my CTR)
