Is there anyone who uses adwords to promote their websites to get revenue from purely adsense and turns out even or better off? How effective is this..

I would guess using Adwords would be a big gamble. If I was to fire PPC traffic at my site in hope to make something from Adsense I would use Adbrite or MSN Ads.

Although I would also like to see if anyone had any luck with adwords.

There is some people that manage to do that around there.

I would not recommend someone trying do that.

That doesn't work unless you have similar yet different keywords on your site and those you advertise with.

Don't try it if you don't know what you are doing.

It used to be quite effective but Google've put a good stop to it. I'd guess arbitrage still works as those who were doing it previously will have been making too much money to let it slide, but in my opinion there're faster ways to make money online.

But i saw a lot of people doing it. Maybe their buy cheap keyword in adwords, and put some expensive keywords on their site.

    I do it.

I spend about $30 a day on adwords and get back $50-60. My site offers valuable content but has a REALLY CRAPPY design (intentionally) that is black and white with h1's. I have one 728x90 on the top and a the horiz text links at the bottom.

The biggest tip i would recommend is finding a niche that is non-tech. These users are known to click more adsense links.

    Tried and true advertising formula

    Spend $1.00 in advertising

    Earn $1.20 in revenues

The tricky part with Adsense Arbitrage is the keyword terms cost 50 cents per click on average but only pay 25 cents on average....

For this to work properly you are counting on the eyeballs to

    not click the adwords ads....

surf to your site via direct type in

    then click your adsense ads..

    Sometimes it works

a lot of times it doesn't

    Test Test Test !!!!!!!

    Peace

i personally thinks there are a lot of careful calculations to be done. Most people from what I know used adwords for good ROI subjects. Usually they abritrage and earn marginally every month.

Hence $1.00 spent = $1.20 earned very small margins indeed.

Its easier to use Adwords / Affiliate Programs or Lead Generation

    Where click = 0.50 and could earn revenue = $10.00 or $20.00

as opposed to the Adwords / Adsense model

    click = 0.50 and could earn revenue = 0.25

    Peace

even if you can make $1 for $1 its worth it. Once someone has visited your site they may come back 1 month, 6 months or years later.

    Plus its good cash flow!

A third of my visitors from adwords come back to my site. Tracking (cookies!) this is so important when trying to accomplish this.

It is possible to make this work but I would suggest testing many different ad formats and layouts to track which has the CTR using AdSense channels first before throwing money at it with AdWords.

Yeh, id have no problem getting the right CTR, but im not very good with adwords. Would you suggest low cpc, then a good niche which pays well?

Excellent point Phil... but I do not feel many understand the equation of customer lifetime value, when they are still so new to the concept of paying for advertsing.
