I put something relevant to the topic and catchy to the audience or customer.

 

Start thinking how Your readers would think...put Yourself in their position!

 

I think this is an interesting way to create and monitor headlines.

Head line is so much important for a article.I think it most be attractive,thematic and most be including targeted keyword of your article in it.

Putting yourself in the reader's shoes is always a great idea. Chances are that you'll be able to distinguish between a catchy and dull headline. Make sure it flows into the body, targets the right audience, and has some element of creativity.
