Most baclink packets are [going to be] worthless

My friend kept pestering me to buy a popular backlink packet that everyone had been raving about. "Come on, man, it'll boost your site to the top!" he said.

So I did. Spent my dime and bought the thing, and then spent several hours following through with all of the steps.

I noticed most of these links were on profile pages of high PR websites. It seemed perfect. I was excited to have links on PR 7,8,9 pages!

And my rankings did soar, for awhile. Then they dropped a few months later.

I did a backlink check to find out why and discovered that my high PR backlinks disappeared. I logged into those dusty accounts where I had placed my links and realized that:

    A) the hyperlinks were disabled.
    B) links were turned nofollow
    C) "website" input fields were removed
    D) accounts with profile links and no website activity were deleted.

The small amount of money I invested, which was nothing in comparison to the hours I spent building those links, was wasted.

I now don't deal with those. Packets like these are now considered by me to be a waste of time and money. From now on, I'll be spending my effort building solid links on dofollow forums such as these, dofollow blogs providing helpful information, and networking with sites in my same niche. These are tactics that will pay off today and tomorrow.

Black hat practitioners can tip their hats goodbye.

Nonsense. They would have all been on PR0 pages. PR is per page, NOT per site.

If you are talking about Angela's backlink package - its nothing but profile spam. Forum admins are fighting back against the crap. On my network of 8 forums, we just ban anyone who does this and report them to Google via the spam report tool as using this method of building backlinks. Google have a blog post about not doing it, so assume that they either have or soon will have a scalable solution to either penalize sites doing this or negate any link juice coming from them.

We report anywhere from 12-20 sites a day via the spam report tool as doing this and more forums are doing the same, so assume you have been reported.

Here is the Google blog post:

and here is what one forum admin things about it:

Angela type of links are easily identical pattern and defined as "Spam Attempt" by Google lately. Google does not look only each link value but looking overall link profile and pattern value. Please remember that quality does over quantity as always.

I run a backlink service and the first thing most of my customers say "are these paul and angela's backlinks". I think alot of people feel like these are low quality links. For my clients I have found that posting on blogs that have high page rank and very few comments help boost the rankings and increase page rank. I have never tried these pr0 profile links. You also have to remember anytime you put your link on someone else's website you face the possibility of that link getting removed. After a while you will learn what sites care and which ones that don't. When she sends out a list of backlinks thousands of people try to post on these sites at once and there is a extreme boost in traffic which alerts the webmaster and these links get removed.

Those backlink deals are a bloody waste of time... Most of the idiots using them are oversapmming the forums, forcing everybody's links to be removed. Solution: Just scrape your own links AND get your profile work done right (meaning: create a beautiful profile, post in the forum a little and then after a week or so get your backlinks up there).
