what websites can be set up and left? (so forums, blogs and hosting sites are bad)

O.k, sadly due to severe issues in the past with my hosting site, I was wondering if people can give me some help to a site that wouldnt need much maintenance so for example:

    search engine
    free sms site
    games site

    etc etc

bad examples that i dont want would be:
    hosting site
    blogs
    forums

    etc
    thanks

There is always a price my friend. If sites, forums, blogs are so bad, then why is there so many of them...Seems you are looking for that lazy way out, and do not want to
work the system..you are looking for a magic site, so you think if you put up a magic site, then they will come...if there were such a thing, then everyone else in the
world would be setting up the exact same thing...I wish I could just put up an easy site, and they would come...I think it is a little bit more complicated then that...
I guess what would come close to what you are looking for is in the above post...sales page, reviews...something that you may not have to update as offten...

I have nothing against Blogs and Forums...because you set them up good, then it can be a good content source...

auto blog? Interesting...how can I setup an auto-blog... I like automation (to a point)

auto blogs uses premium plugins for wordpress and those plugins are the ones that pulls content from the RSS feeds out there. I am using autoblogged on those sites which was provided for me by one of my client ^__^

Is it any good? I would think since it would have to pull existing content from the web, then search engines would see it as duplicate content...
I am still at a loss on how you could use this to make any money...

no no its not so much laziness..

i had the website blogshoster.com we got up to number 3 for reseller hosting tilla few days ago when we got hacked, screwed over by the people that own our server and lost all our clients. Its happened a few times before where weve lost all our clients, not to mention you gotta be on support all the time, it just not worht the effort when i can rank up high and easier site if you get me while i get chance

I have no experience with other autoblog plugins but I am satisfied with this one. I started getting visitor the second day I created them and they aren't even ranked yet as I just submitted their sitemaps (generated by another plugin) about 10 hours ago. I even got $1 from adsense from 2 clicks that were made on them.

The only time I need to open them is when I need to add something like an opt-in page that I plan to add later this week and the 'Free wordpress setup' that I added a couple of days ago.

Any site requires work. If there would the a lazy option, why wouldn't everybody do it?

I totally agree with you about hosting...hosting is very competive. I think hosting has down downhill over the years...it is a very hard business...If i was selling something, I do not think it
would be hosting, I think hosting has a very high turn-over rate, and customers can be very demanding...

good to see someone who understands running a hosting site! What im saying is, i can get the google rankings and traffic, but cant keep the site up and manage it all for the small profits i make per filled server

Hosting is not normally a one man show...un less you live on-site to where your server is, then you totally have to rely on others to keep your server going...Even some of the bigger hosting providers sell
cheap services, how they manage to do this, and manage to provide live-support is beyond me...If you can get rankings and traffic, then why not try an easier market..which I think you were asking to begin with :)
I think hosting serves nothing more then oversold accounts, and provides no value when you really need the account, then you are suspended...I do not have respect for hosting like I once did...

Be careful with these, or 'contributors' will be spamming their links like there's no tomorrow.

BLOGS aren't really high maintenance, especially
if you outsource most of the work. in fact, you can
even outsource pretty much everything. from.....

building blogs, content, link building, etc.

just pick a popular niche & target specific keywords

Realistically I personally don't think forums is all that hard to maintain. Many sites contain a lot of work because of the nature of them and then there are other sites that can grow quite big that don't need so much work due to using a good amount of scripting to help do the work for you.

For example, probably a majority of forums work involves looking for and removing spam. Now if you took a bit of time and aimed to make something to prevent that spam in the first place, then that would cut out most of your looking for and removing of spam posts and users.
