Luke, the article is about racism against Romanian people in hands of Partido Popular of Cataluña.

That's sad man, Spain is so nice country but have a lot of rage even against their own (derivated) blood, like Latin people. That's ridiculous!
And now racism against Romanian guys...XXI century, come on guys!

Sad to read about this Fabricio.

What we can expect with that avatar dude, nothing else.
Fortunely everything's not attack the rest and fight "war against terror" paranoia created by their own government.
Racism = Stupid people who have nothing inside but need to fight agains anything. White, yellow, red, brown, they need something to fault for their own foolishness.

It was sarcasm genius. I find your comments about Spain's racism against their own deviated blood interesting. On the one hand, I've personally witnessed Latino families discriminate against their own children for having skin that is too dark. I know more than a few who gave one of their children the nickname "Negro" because their skin was darker than their siblings. On the other hand, isn't saying discrimination is part of Latin culture somewhat of a racial slur in and of itself? I'm wondering if that doesn't make you a racist for pointing it out.

thanks for translation CarlZombie, but still don't know what Spanish pardon Spaniol done with Romanian.
I have seen some conflict between Italian and Romanian last year I guess. anyway when workers come to a country for job without their families it bring some problem I guess and natives blame all the people of worker's country.

I have see in news that Spain unemployment is more than 20 percent and in this case is number one in Europe, maybe it effected either?
racism is every were I think even if look at our self frankly, will find a bit maybe!

I'm a racist! As I don't like green people and I believe they should stop abducting people and conducting experiments as it is pretty clear by doing so they have an agenda to colonise Earth.

The green people are obviously Martians bent on taking over, come on now how much more obvious could it be?

On another note racism is rife everywhere OP and doesn't look likely to change, I doubt it is just your Gov or system that involves it.

Xenophobia is usually the byproduct of hard economic times. The US forcefully deported many American citizens of Mexican blood during the 1930s during the great depression. When times are tough, people tend to "take care of their own". It is more Nativism than it is Racism, though in the case of the US, the Latinos are the hardest hit, so they tend to feel singled out. The Spanish official's advertisement from the OP was fairly racist, but no more racist than Al Sharpton talking about how we can get a black Mayor of New York elected.

I am an American and I don't dislike Mexicans by race at all, in fact my wife is part Mexican, so my kids share some of that blood as well.

2 types I see that dislike or treat Mexicans as lower class - the employer who pays them under the table at lower pay than a legal American and the liberals who only want to use them for votes.. I would say neo-nazi and other racists groups, but I think I covered that in the 2 groups I listed.

I find it interesting that the ones that seem to employ illegal Mexicans illegally are the ones who also want to have the government pay for their healthcare, welfare, etc... and since they are not "employed" they get foodstamps. These are the ones that claim to be "standing up for their rights" but only to get votes either from the legal Mexican population or those who vote illegally in our elections. Either way they are being used by those who are actually keeping them down. I love how some of these people talk about Mexicans when there isn't one around (or they don't think there is.) Their true racist colors come out.

True enough. The funny part about that is that many of those employers are Mexicans. Many of the siding and roofing crews in Southern California were entirely Mexican, run by Mexicans. Same with many landscaping service companies. I guess they would know better the situation of their own people than anyone, and therefore how best to exploit it. But is it racism?

Recently I saw a video that someone got it from youtube about a hidden camera in a restaurant on Lose angles.
the shopkeeper said to a Mexican worker that "we don't serve for you, go out". the reaction of American on that restaurant was particular!

I guess appearance of a person is so important. a Mexican with indigenous face not welcome as another with European face.

Spain has been have been more than their share of economic downturn, and their bond ratings has been lowered.

Racism should not be tolerated in any country, it is wrong and we are all created equal.

    Best regards … Ron

I'd be surprised if that restaurant is still in business if there is a video like that floating around on YouTube. Racism may be perfectly legal in the US, but once a video like that gets out, people are embarrassed even to be seen at such a place, never mind having to cross a line of Hispanic picketers. Maybe it wouldn't impact a business in a small town in Oregon, but there are waaaaaay to many latinos in Los Angeles for something like that to fly unanswered.
