    good question.
maybe because most of people in the world think we are Arab! lol and beside for many of American, Iranian means terrorist and hostility whereas no Iranian blow up him/herself to killing other people so far.

in the other hand Iranian proud of Persian history and culture. feastes that we celebrat the most are belong to before Islam.
Iranian contain many nations and races that Persian is one of them. most of people who live in Iran are Persian.

Its my understanding that the Iranian government provides free gender reassignment surgery for those with same sex preferences(Gays). I'm not sure if changing around the appendages makes them any less gay. The plumbing is obviously still the same. It also makes me wonder how many transsexuals there are roaming the streets of Tehran, and how many of those Ahmadinijad would own up to.

you are so right, if you come here will see beautiful gay in the street of Tehran and other Iranian big cities. I just quoted that to become more familiar with Ahmadinejad. in Iran we have gay like any other part in the world we aren't strange people but our fake president is!

In my opinion there is so many things in Iran that are different from the rest of the world including women cause earthquakes area

It seems to me like the last election they had, the real results were not honored and riots commenced.

They just need a new government and maybe things will be different.

    Best regards … Ron

    RE" "Persian"
Far as I know that practice kicked in during the "Iran Hostage Crisis" in the Carter admin as I recall. I went to a university in TX that had at the time about the largest middle eastern student population of any school in the country. I had a buddy that introduced himself as "Persian". Saved pain and anxiety I suppose. Even prior to the hostage crisis the pro-Shah and anti-Shah factions at my university were locked in darn near mortal combat on a pretty regular basis and were constantly trying to get everyone else on their respective side... so being Iranian wasnt especially popular in some circles.

From what I could tell pretty much nobody he spoke to (except a few of us that watched in wonder) had a clue that Persia hadn't been around lately. Nobody ever screwed up by assuming the average American cant find his way around a world map. :p

    oh yeah right.
but not just last election was fake we think. even in former election we didn't vote for Ahmadinejad 5 years ago but didn't think he was such a jerk. he is a great liar for that reason in our last election most of people came for vote and voted aginst him but again we saw the result didn't change. then te people aim change, now we are tired of regimen entirely and can't see them in power anymore. if you watch Iranian protesters, they didn't slogen about Ahmadinejad but "dead to the dictator".
I haven't any desire for revuolution here anymore but seems can't stop youth!

Well, since it's from a cleric, it has to be taken in the religious sense. Several people believe, God punish men with apocalypse and natural calamities..like some of them believe in Doomsday and 2012..etc..why this one has become a hot debate ?? I wonder

Might be true. But Iran is not just Tehran. Politics is power game..you need to be intelligent and should reach out to all..Why the oppositions cant win over the poor and ordinary people While Nejad sweeps away the elections..?

there are a lot of reason to show that election was a big fraud.
it wasn't just Tehran that we had riot, in Isfahan, Rasht, Ahvaz, Tabriz, Shiraz and Mashhad and even in city of Qom that is center of Mullahs. I disable to access youtube because of strong filter for media here. if you search there will find a lot of videos about riot in cities I mentioned after our last election

I wonder why have to punish people in mass, whereas surely some innocent people will die there? I guess guilty persons will punish after death?

Persia was our country international name that I guess 60 years ago changed to Iran. majority people who living in Iran are Persian. yeah Iranian rather to introduce themselves as Persian than Iranian maybe because for American an Iranian rise bad feeling than name of Persian. beside Persia have very proud history for Iranian. one thing that Iranian/Persian are more proud of is, "Persian wrote and accomplish first human right in 2600 years ago in the wast area.
