Of course its allowed but I would suggest having the blog on the main domain, it's better for SEO.

Not a problem just install wordpress in a new directory, it doesn't need to be a sub-domain.

You won't have problems. This is the way a lot of sites structure themselves when they include a blog.

Of course it is allowed, actually I'd say it is encouraged if you want both visitors and google know there's a blog in the subdomain. Just linking to the subdomain doesnt constitute any black hat practice..

Google can not tell you what to do with *your* site. Google has no say in what is allowed on *your* site. Google does not control *your* site.

    Get the picture? :)

The correct question is "if I do this or that, will it hurt my position in SERPs (search engine results pages)". This is a legitimate question and one that many here are qualified to answer. But, beware of those on this board who give only standard answers that don't seem to fit the question. They post garbage to get their post count up.

The people who will truly help you are the ones who take the time to explain what you should do, and why. In time, you will learn who to accept advice from, and who not to.

Good luck with your blog. Make it for people and don't worry too much about Google.

    Hey longcall911

Thank you so much for your good explanation! it's very seldom i reckon :) I have learnt something from this forum.
What you typed is absolutely right, i want to make my site for people and not for Google. However, if my site is not appearing in Google, people can't find it. And i think my site is useful for some. And this, somehow doesn't make me happy :(
At the moment, my subdomain blog, is appearing in first page of google for some keywords, but my new main blog doesn't. But i might have to repeat what i did with my subdomain blog on advertising, directories submitting, etc. And as a newbie, I didn't really know if it's fine.

I hope optimizing my main domain blog (www.web6.org) is not gonna hurt my both sites's SERPs!

    Thanks!
