Why do rapidshare search engines rank higher

    how many times have you made a search and found rapidshare search engines show up they donot have any real content all they contain is links. Most of the pages are search pages still google ranks them higher why is it so.
    How can we harness this technique

    its because of the number of sites that links to it.. if you want to achieve create something that visitors will use it and can something embed on their site going to your site..

    Yep looks to me like they are able to convince people to link to their site, especially from those with good PR already

    Even Rapidshare seems illegal but it has nothing to do with its own authority status from Google perspective. They have both aged domain and link popularity. It is like asking why Wikipedia got ranked for several keywords. It is the same.

    I "assume" their earning based on advertising.

    Depends what you're searchiing for, if searching music, apps etc then its no suprise, but with most other searches i dont see that rapidshare sites would turn up.

    These RS search Engines actualy containt links to usenet and shit like that where you have to pay to register and usualy they dont even have the file while before you register yo usee they have it in rar and normal file and stuff like that it is just a bunch of crap I once searched for an Ebook when I was a newbie paid the 3$ for 1 day trial and the ebook wasn't there avaible to downlod said file does not exist..
