Looking for ideas on Marketing and Monetizing my site

Looking for ideas on Marketing and Monetizing my free press release site. It's not like you can say or write much on the topic of Press Releases that hasn't already been said. I have a lot of different niches posted on my site, so can't really target one or two niches. One release might be about a business and the next about sports, then a completely different topic.

Having the same problems when it comes to Monetizing because of the broad topics.

Has anyone owned a Press Release site that could give me some tips?

    Thanks

No i dont own it but i have seen that many press release sites are paid. You can also keep this in your site. Add members who can donate in your site and you can give them some featured privileges. This way your site can earn some money and traffic would also be generated by free users.

I would create a product, for instance an ebook about how to create awesome press releases, consulting or coaching or something related to your site that you sell. You would sell your own product and earn 100% commission.

If you don't want or have the time to create it yourself, you could buy a PLR product and sell it as your own (or do some editing). For instance, take a look at Press Release Profits, it looks interesting:

    Jaxrefinance,
I have submitted several articles to the Directories you mentioned, but have around 10 visits to those articles. Those same articles are being found through the Google Search Engine with almost 2,000 visits. These numbers are for a 2 week time frame. So the Article Directories give me alot less traffic than natural search engines.
They do get a good amount through Twitter also.
Basicly I get alot of traffic but it's from the Press Releases. Not because people are looking to submit a Press Release, if that makes sense. It's great that people are reading them but also need the people who want to submit a Press Release.

    Adria,
This is a good idea. Would rather wait until I had an established presence in this niche before I started charging a fee. Start charging too soon and the customers will go to the next Press Release site.

We market our main site using articles (ArticlesLane.com, Ezine, etc.), press releases, PPC and SEO.

Am going to specialize on how to monetize your site.

There are many ways to monetize web sites. The question is, which was is best for YOUR site? Because there are so many different sites out there, I have to try to make this article as generic as possible so that it can help the greatest number of people. So try to apply the principles here to your own specific site.

One way to monetize a web site, that requires almost no work at all, is with AdSense. AdSense ads are simple. You place a certain code on your site and Google will look at the content of your site and pick ads that they feel are appropriate to the site itself. For example, if you have a site on health, Google might display ads for certain health related products. If you have a site about movies, the ads displayed might be for DVDs for those movies and similar ones.

The advantage of AdSense is that you get paid for people just clicking on the ad itself. They don’t have to actually buy anything for you to earn. While the amount earned per click is not a great sum, with enough traffic, this amount can add up over time.

Another way to monetize your site is with an affiliate product. This is where you promote a product that somebody else has created. There are many affiliate programs all over the Internet. The key is finding one that fits the specifics of your site. For example, if you have a site on rock musicians, you might want to find an affiliate program where you get a commission for selling concert tickets to these musicians events. Some affiliate programs pay very well per sale, depending on what the product is.

If you want, you can create your own product based on whatever your site is about. For example, let’s say you have a site about home repair with some tips about repairing your home. You could create one of those fix it ebooks for a specific home repair and sell that. The upside of ebooks is that there is no production cost involved other than the software needed to create the book itself. Each book, being virtual, adds nothing to your overall production costs.

What you will probably want to do is look at other similar sites and see what they’re doing to monetize them. If these sites are near the top of the search engines and receiving a good amount of traffic, there is a good chance that their monetization model is bringing them in a good income. If that’s the case, then emulating that model should bring you good results as well.

Not to be rude but you make no sense. You were right the question was specificly about my site. That's why I created this thread. Then you go all generic with example's on me :)

I'm currently using Adsense and have done very little Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate Marketing with other people's Press Release's isn't the ideal option.
