AdSwaps - Why Does No one Talk About It On Here???

Ok so I've been doing this for a few weeks now and find it really good! I actually do that more then any other form of marketing now. I only come on here now and then to see what I can learn - not so much about pulling people to my site like in the beginning. ADSWAPS is great for leveraging my sites and building my lists. What I want to know is how many of you are doing it too? And what are your thoughts on it...

Yes I would be interested in ad swapping. I am doing some at the moment and increasing my list.

Are you have success increasing your list, or success making more money? That seems to be the biggest issue with ad swaps - swapping compatible, good lists that benefit everyone because more sales are being made. Not just to increase a list for ego purposes.

At the moment I am giving away product to build my list. Then after I have formed that relationship with the people that I am giving products to, I will them offer them a product that I have for sale. Too many people try to sell to their list right away but it best to give 2-3 products email them and ask how did they enjoy the product. Make them feel like you are their friend and why you do this is we would all rather buy from a friend than a complete stranger. Agree

I can sort of understand that thinking, but it still ultimately comes down to sales. Presumably, there is some trust to begin with which is how the person ended up on your list. But it is an "Ad" swap - so presumably the list knows that is going on and that a product is being offered. Maybe the best 'swap' is where each list owner is able to recommend the other's product to their list. That's a shortcut to the getting to be a friend issue.

What happens in ad swaps is that two people exchange emails in the form of an auto response email and you set it up in your autoresponder so it goes out to your list. These emails usually start something like "Mark Smith has gone mad and wants you to get this great book on................ This is the email Mark Smith will send to you, now down the bottom you have to put your own signature. Now you send one to Mark so he can put it in his autoresponder and send your email to his list and he puts his signature on your email. Your email would be something like "Sue McDonald has just written this great book to help any struggling internet marketer....."Hope this makes it clear for anyone who is not sure about ad swaps.

Thank you for clarifying, have you done this and if you have, then did you have a successful campaign?

    Hi jadeslair

Yes I have done it and sometimes it depends on the size of the list and of course the quality of free product you are offering. You can offer a free product but also can have a OTO there as well. I have a few that are due within the next few days. I started with zero about 8 weeks ago and now approaching 200 people and it is growing every day. If you don't have a list you will have to create a blog and start driving traffic to it. You must have a giveaway product so people can sign in and download the book or whatever. If you don't have a list and you need more help PM me.
