How many icons do you have on your desktop?

    put it this way, i have dual 21" lcd's @ 1600x1200 and BOTH screens get full. Everytime i get over packed(wall to wall icons) i just put them into a new folder on my desktop (currently 4 folders in all) currently i am at 180

    i guess i am the 'bag lady' of icons =/

    anon i feel you have the same problem. I have to keep folders for my short cuts on my desktop and i have one full folder with old desktops jesus i never have time to check them

    I think its over 300

    when im full of work .. expect my desktop to be a forest of icons ... but please dont ask me to count how many there are ... my icons are at 16pixels and my screen resolution is just 1280x1024 :D

    Zero, I disabled them and use stardocks ObjectDock :D
    Windows xp desktop icons are ugly.

    I remove all desktop icons as fast as I can. And my background is just black.
    I spent much time finding out how to remove the recyle bin from the background (had to delete a registry key).

    most probably i put only two icon on my desktop mycomputer and rycyclebin.i dont like to put more and more icon on my desktop

    On my PC, about 56. On my iMac, 1 (Macintosh HD). The dock comes in so handy on the Mac.

    I think there is no need of wallpaper on your PC ICONS are enough for that.

    About half the screen at this point. Which is why I *never* use or look at the desktop, except for when I run Putty once in a blue moon for telnet or SSH, for some reason I never added it to the start menu...

    I absolutely despite software that automatically drops a desktop icon, it's impossible to find anything after the first dozen or so.
