Google Page Ranking - How/When is it done?

    Just a quick question about Google page ranking. How often does it get done and what effect does it have on your placement in keyword searches?

    PR doesnt have a role on serp rankings. its updated every three months or so.

    It is usually updated during US holidays, typically Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.

    It can happens in special days like before the New Year, Easter, ect...
    Generally, it updates every 3 months.

    PR used to have an influence with website ranking but Google had changed this rule already. I could say RP has nothing to do with website ranking anymore and will never. Google had done completely changed the way they treat and count links toward each site PR. They just find the ways to handling many abused of PR by webmasters.

    PR is updated every 3 months as far as I know

    If you are referring to the green thing on the Google toolbar, it is done every 3 months, about 4x a year.

    It really doesn't affect your placement ranking at all. Google's algorithm is constantly at work every second of everyday. So if you are actively doing SEO on your site, you may see its result in the rankings after a few weeks or months. The green thing is just a snapshot of how Google sees the importance of your site.
