Hey Guys, Is it possible to run multiple sites out of the same web space and have google see them as separate sites? Or am I going to need to buy a new hosting plan for each site I set up..I would like to try making some affiliate sites as well as a site for one of my friends and am wondering if I need a separate hosting package for each one to be viewed as a separate site on google...any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
If your hosting plan include addone domain you can host so many websites as you want. Google will be view it as separate websites. I hear it could be problems if you will create links between this websites, but it not proved.
If your looking to build the same niche of websites within the same webspace then that is a bad idea. Google takes into consideration the I.P address of the domain. Ideally you need different Class-C IP addresses if your going to build your own seo structure between multiple sites.
Yes that is right. If your websites are not related and you are not going to link between them it will be all right. You can also link between websites on the same subject unless they are a part of some sort "black hat". There are proper ways to link to not abuse search engines.
Did you mean do cross linking between websites under same IP web hositng? It would being seen as Spam attempt instead. You cannot get it done even with dedicated IP since those IP are still under the same class C IP anyway. I would not recommend you gaming with Google by this strategy. It had been used and already easily identical pattern. If you do really wants, then use different class B+ IP if possible (and affordable of course). Again, the relevancy of each site you do cross linked is also an important factor anyway. Try to link between the relevant sites you think it does make sense.
On shared web hosting, sites are sharing same IP unless they choose to use a dedicated ip for their shared hosting account. Therefore, there is no harm if you host your sites using addon domain option. As long shared hosting ip is clean, you should be fine. Only way search engines will recognize that your sites are not related is if they are on different IP address and their whois information is different.
IF you have ability to add addon domain in your existing hosting, there is no difference in googles eye as far as all sights being opereted on different domains. MOst of the small sites in Internet world are hosted on shared hosting, There may be thousands of sites on single IP address, dont' worry.
Friend, it is possible to add more than one site, if your web-hosting provides you that fascility. But it will be not a wise decision from the SEO or promotion point of view.You can have the following disadvantages; You IP will be same. So any type of promotional advantages within sites will considered spam. You will not enjoy the advantage of interlinking.
