Why can't i see any backlinks from google?

    Hi I used Submit Express to check my link popularity. I found that I have:

    192 from altavista
    1255 from msn

    But none from google. How comes I don't get back links from google?

    How old is your site already?
    MSN is fast in updating backlinks this is why your backlinks haven't appeared yet.

    Also, something which is universally known, google shows a very small fraction of the backlinks your site has.

    Google will not show backlinks for a new site until they do a backlink update and then they wont show them all. If your site is only a few months old, it will not show backlinks yet.

    Have some patience.... one of my site was PR3 for two months with any backlinks showing... showed few backlinks after the update.

    I agree. It doesn't matter how long. Google just does not show a lot of backlinks that I know exist. :(

    google doesn't show back links which is not approwed and still waiting for aprovel but still u can see using "www.domainname.com" try it u can see links but that will not count in SERP.

    Well. My site is only 1 month old. I can see 2 backlinks in google, when I type ::www.mysite.com.

    i'm not very sure, but i think yesterday google made an update on the backlinks.

    try again to see your baklinks

    they're absolutly right, low backlinks on my 4 year old site. I know I have hundreds of sites that link to mine, from general knowledge, google alerts and stats program. I only found this by trying out the new version of the Google toolbar. Now I have never had good backlinks from other sites but always listed hundreds of links from my own. Now there are less than a dozen when I use link:http...

    I get about 500 hits from my site when I use "www."
