I am wondering how much a site that is making $5-$10 a day cost me? I am looking for one that wont be too hard to manage.
A ballpark figure would be from 6 to 18 times monthly net - i.e. if it is doing $10 a day, it would run $2K to $6K.
That's a standard range, and of course can vary with a number of factors, including age and track record. Tens of thousands of sites have sold in that range. If you have a site that is netting $300 a month, no one is going to sell it for $100. Would you sell a site that was making you $300 a month for $100? No - no unless there was something seriously wrong.
I would say that is pretty close. Who is going to sell a domain that is making 300 a month for 100-200 hundred dollars? That would be stupid. I recently sold one on sedo for 600 and it was not making a dime. 4 months old. The person just wanted it. Others I have pulled off sedo because they are starting to make some good revenue. I sure will not be selling them for peanuts.
I think this question is a bit like asking "how long is a piece of string" in many respects. There are so many factors to take into account, as we found when we started our camping accessories business.
No it's not off at all... Normally a site with revenue would sell for about 10 months worth of revenue so in your case about 3k! This could of course go a bit up or down depending on many factors maybe up to 4-5 but no lower than 2... If you think that 100-200 is a fair price then I will buy as many 10$/day sites you have at double that
