A few days ago, Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple wrote that Gray Powell who is Apple's engineer and lost the prototype of iPhone would not be fired from Apple, but another Apple engineer will be fired for showing him the iPad. What do you think about it?
I think the company is a little overly-strict. I found a funny comment on this matter: "If you think about the company as the child of its founders, then showing Woz the Jobs' iPad before midnight was like the groom seeing the bride in her wedding dress before the ceremony "
"Apple engineer will be fired for showing him the iPad" maybe this engineer bring loss to the company. Such careless person maybe not suitable to the company.
I think it depend on wether Apple Engineer is intentionally or not. Days before, an Apple employee got drunk at a bar, and lost the iPhone 4G smartphone - which is not on the market yet, while he didn't get punished for he wasn't on purpose.
Well, its a policy set by Apple. And so does Apple want its employees to act accordingly. well the situation is funny tho. They should have been a little forgiving though. Btw, Apple's ipad looks quite nice imo.
