What is meta name="verify-v1" ?

I have seen my sites page source code has 2 lines are

<meta name="verify-v1" content="CODE" /> and
<meta name="google-site-verification" content="CODE" /> .

I have got <meta name="google-site-verification" content="CODE" /> ,but I dont know how to get meta name="verify-v1".i added my wp blog to google verification and put meta name="google-site-verification" code in header.But I don have any idea about meta name="verify-v1".How to get that?

It's a meta tag from Google that verifies you as an owner of the site in Google Webmaster Tools.

 

Thanks for the reply digitech .But its already verified my blog so that I have <meta name="google-site-verification" content="CODE" /> in my code.
But when will I get <meta name="verify-v1" content="CODE" />,should I verify again or?

It is useful for getting indexed in Google search engine when ever you post any thing on your website. It will simply tell the google to crawl your website.
