Hi!

I want to make and run my own website. For this purpose web designing course is sufficient or i'll have to do some more courses?

Learn HTML first, then CSS and then learn about Photoshop. (If you know CSS, you can basically make a CSS-based design too)

 

Doing web designing course is sufficient for starting then slowly when you will start creating some sites then you can for some more programs to improve your designing skills.

 

First determine what you want to do. If all you want is to "I want to make and run my own website.", then you should check out webs.com or weebly.com. These will get you up and running literally in minutes.

If you want to learn to design web sites for others, then you're going to have to learn HTML and at least get working knowledge of JavaScript and CSS. Then, progress on to a good JavaScript framework - such as jQuery (which combines CSS and JavaScript).

If you are going to do this professionally, then consider investing in some real tools - such as Dreamweaver.

If you are going to be editing and manipulating images in a serious fashion, then learning Photoshop is a good idea.

start basic , learn html, css and learn how php can make it the task easier.

U must have the knowledge of DIV TAG/ CSS. this will help u .

 

You need the knowledge only if you want a non-free site. Try to look at yola.com. It's simple like MS Word editing...

 

All you have to do is HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, XHTML, Graphics Design and you can make any website, your own personal and professional.

 

i want to instal xml blogger template in a web hos .. which web host supports it ??? or is there any alternative by converting xml blogger template to css or html or PHP ???

Whether you plan to create a simple or a professional site, you should start from the ground...

With many WYSIWYG software nowadays, knowing the basic will do but it always help if you know more.
HTML is a must. once you mastered that, focus on php/MySQL and CSS, it will allows you to create stunning website, both static and dynamic.

 

You need to know HTML, photophop and CSS, these are the basics of web designing.

 

Html, Css and Photoshop are the main things you need to know about to make a Website, You need to learn the HTML and CSS coding, then photoshop is for your graphics, logos, banners and images and that. good luck.

Many have recommended photoshop already, but I don't think it's necessary every time, and it'll take you a lot of time to learn it. Maybe start with html and css first and try to make something with that. Also there are lots of ready to use images and menus online.

Start from basic learning about css,html and designing etc. also create your own blog and purchase your domain and create your website using wordpress.

 

If you really want to do web design you better already have the artistic talent otherwise you will fail . You need to be able to create something from a blank document if you arent creative thinking individual you wont get far in this field. As for coding html + css + javascript is the basics you should learn. Then from there you can go into any direction you wish.

Everyone thinks they can become web / graphics designer. Well to get into college or university for example you already need top marks in traditional art or digital media for instance. Thats the minimum for the academic route. Then from there you can go on to get an honours degree at university.

That sets the bar high already for individuals wanting to start on there own with im presuming no formal art or digital media skills. Im not saying its impossible im just saying it will take time if you have the desire and the skills / talent to do so.

I myself for instance learned all i know by myself. I did do a formal education eventually but i was already featured in many physical gallery's across my city for my traditional art. That actually helped me in the long run in becoming a web / graphics designer as i already had an artistic background was extremely talented and had the passion to work in this industry.
