Article submissions for backlinks, does it really work?

I have been submitting some articles that I wrote for my website to Ezinearticles. None of them have even been approved yet but I want to find out if submitting the articles is still a good way to earn backlinks. Obviously, there are lots of other ways but will this still provide substantial link juice for my site?

Should I submit each article to more directories than just Ezinearticles?

I write articles for employers full time and what I write seems like it would be submitted to article directories. Is this what people are doing and how many articles will you need to write before your landing page gets a sale or two?

Yes. it's works.. It will definitely pass link juices to your site.. The more article directories you submitted, the better.. The articles will get a sale or two if they find it interesting and it may raise the money site visibility on the search engine.. How many? I would say, a lot of em.. Never stop, not even until you get a sale or two.. There's competition you watching for..

What article directories do you use, croxx? I've been looking for some good article dirs. to start out with. Got my first article accepted to Ezine today!!! (of course it was my first attempt. Only had to correct one thing, and that was the amount of links in my resource box)

Great news, however how did you notice that the backlink came through provided that you only submitted one article? Did you not do any other backlinking during the time that your article got approved and then you checked your backlinks and you had +1?

Would submitting to 20+ article directories for each article be beneficial or could it damage your ratings because of duplicate content?

First of all, duplicate content only hurts you if you steel it from somewhere else and then put it on your site. Well, really it does not hurt but it does not help. Sites never get penalized for duplicate.

Also, i have used ezinearticles for years but recently they started turning those links you add to your article to "nofollow"... look at the "viewsource" of your article from your computer and see. There are hundreds of article sites out there and you should try to use as many diff as you can BUT only dup the content for article sites with low PageRank. if the site has HIGH page rank you are better off keeping that content org.

I article build, blog build and everything else, i also use BacklinkReporter.com to track it all so i know when keyword1 has 100 links bec if keyword2 and 3 have only 55 links or 32 links o something then i can focus my campaign better. If you use a link checker it tells you u have 234 links but what good is that? i want to keep track of numbers. i may seem OCD but I make a living on the web so i need to be.

    good luck people!

Your information on duplicant content helps a lot, I wasn't aware it didn't hurt but that is really good to hear. Can I ask why you should keep the content original if it's on a high page rank directory? Where do you submit your articles to if ezines is no follow? That is if you don't mind me asking.

Because i am sooo cool. i will tell you. BUT FIRST... i said duplicate content doesnt hurt, which means it doesnt HELP YOU. which means you should not do it. its a waste of time ;)

a cool list of article sites is on this site --- > freearticlesubmission.org/directories.php

i said the thing about high PR's bec it is the same idea as above - if articlesite1 with high PR gets a good, quality article then "they" get credit and that helps "you". if u dup that content on other site with high PR then that site does not get credit... get it?

do everything i say and you will dominate! =D

Soo duplicate content would help if you used the same article on multiple web 2.0 sites to build backlinks? That way you don't have to make custom ones for your sites like squidoo that promote your site? Wouldn't it be the same story for article sites? Aren't you doing it for the backlinks or are you saying that the high or directories only hold their value as powerful link juice if you only submit to one? Would the same be for sites like squidoo?

What I am doing is create a unique article first. Then create different modifications of this article and submit them in multiple article directories. So the advantage is each page is unique.

You need to promote your articles as well. You could submit the RSS feed of the article to get some extra exposure. Your resource box also has to be compelling enough for the user to click through to your site.

HowWhoWhen, I heave been checking over the resources boxes of many other affiliate marketers, most of them just have the general.... "This article was written by (name here) from (website & blacklink here)"

If this is not a suitable resource box then how come so many people are using it? Also, you're talking about promoting the article? Do you know any other methods that could help this work? This would be to get traffic and exposure from the articles, correct? Not just for backlinking purposes?

The really nice thing about backlinks in articles is that you have control over relevancy which is extremely important.

Yes, article sbmission definately works to aqquire backlinks. Make sure your articles are your own, make them slightly different everytime you submit to a diff article dir, and write good quality articles.

It's worth the effort. The advantage of article marketing is that you can link all related keywords and phrases as you like. So you get good backlinks.

After submitting to ezine I would also submit the same articles to other article sites and link other keywords.

Hi to all. Ezinearticles is th best site to submit an article. The links are quality and good for website PR. But about visitors it is a bit difficult to increase traffic because most of them don't click to links. They only search for content and use it for free ;-D
    Thank you

Yes it helps int he serps - but make sure you mix the anchor text (a lot!!) or you could get a penalty from the big G.

You put the backlinks in the resource box when submitting to ezinearticles correct?

Also, I just submitted 10, all with the same anchor text. Was that a bad thing and should it be mixed up more than that?

I don't think that it helps a lot because I have submitted my article to various do follow submission sites, but getting just 4to 5 back links..I don't think that it works a lot...
