Reconsideration request problem - Gambling sites

I got a penalty and I know why. There was a program I had that went haywire and generated a ton of duplicate content and was unintentional. I did a reconsideration request but I have doubts because my sites are gambling related.

I realize that gambling sites have a reputation as a spammy category and holds a ton of blackhat stuff. Google probably throws out any reconsideration requests related to gambling? My sites are high quality and contain 1000 word articles everywhere, it's an honest all white hat seo'd site. The mistake I had was an honest programming error.

Has anyone ever gotten a gambling site out of a penalty?

they just dont like gambling sites using adsense... because they make alot of money showing gambling ads and dont want any competition. but i am sure they will re index your site if the problem truly was fixed. If you are using wordpress, and have the redirection plugin make sure that it is completely erased out of your SQL database... I had a similar thing happen, I was using an automated article publisher and shortly after decided i didnt need the redirection plugin so i deactivated it and erased the files on the server side... well it left a mess up in the SQL files and had an error 301 redirect !!!!

so everytime the google bot came to check up on my site it would not cache and removed ALL the pages.... i waited MONTHS and MONTHS after erasing what i thought was the reason - hundreds of articles - and then filled out the reconsideration thing and then waited MORE months... never got a response from G... then after trial and error and by chance, i chose to look at "how google viewed" my site and the first thing it showed was 301 redirect and then coding error so the rest of the page was cut off from there and below... well anyways make sure you are not the cause of the "BLACK BALL"

    best of luck

Its true, I sold a link to a gambling site - google throws my site within a week. Now I removed the link - things are improving, but very slowly.
