They said I violated the TOS but of course, they wont tell me what I did. I was adverting my own site in the middle east, africa, and south america. Nothing weird or strange. Similar ads to the biggest advertiser in my category -- not exactly the same -- I was bidding .5-.10, they where bidding $1-5. What can trigger this?
What kind of site were you promoting? Google doesn't shut down AdWords accounts unless they fell they have a good reason to do so...after all AdWords is what makes them all their $$$.
Yeh.. once they did the same to me, then i emailed there support. They asked me to scan copy of credit card, Liscense and send them .. they did reinstate my account... But never told me how i violated there terms.. Try contacting them..
The site I was promoting was a educational site -- very similar in nature to their largest advertiser with the same keywords as I had -- online degrees for example. It is not an ethics issue as their main advertiser sold a online degee to a known terrorist bombmaker according to CNN. I did email support and they never replied.
they sent me an email stating I had violated their TOS and they had disabled my account. Trey also stated they reserve to right to terminate any account at any time.
No way they would close you down for no reason. There must be something you are hiding from us. Otherwise contact them and insure you tell us what they reply to you. Peace,
From your profile I think that this is the site that you are promoting: http://www.heritageintlonline.org/ maybe they disabled your account due to some issue regarding the content policy: I'm not telling that heritageintlonline.com provide fake documents - your website is not this kind of site - its a high level site. I already got a case of someone that on a Elvis portal like Elvis.com site that sells 'Elvis souvenirs' but your site has been banned from AdWords due he just sells a product ID with a Elvis Photo on it. - Google takes these things (fake documents) extremely serious in a level that you can't imagine. Has you insisted in resend any ad that has been disapproved with keyword "diploma" or something like that?
that's really funny that they do not allow online colleges to sell diplomas -- as I stated, the largest advertiser in their category for online degrees is affordabledegrees, they are a well known diploma mill and sell FAKE degrees, however, they pay google about $50,000 a month I understand through Adwords. Google "online degrees" see the top sonsored advertisers "affordabledegrees", which takes you to Rochville University, then Google "Rochville University". This is what CNN says: "On December 15, 2005, CNN aired a report on diploma mills and terrorism. As part of its coverage, the network purchased a "master's degree" in chemistry from Rochville in the name of Abu Salsabil Hassan Omar: "Who is Omar? The federal government says he's an explosives and chemical weapons expert for the terrorist group al Qaeda. So how did this alleged terrorist with a five million dollar bounty on his head earn a Masters in Chemistry from this American university? Well, we earned it for him with $500 and an Internet connection. And the United States district attorney in Spokane, Washington, says there could be thousands of potential terrorists who have done what we just did." [2] CNN was even able to purchase better grades and honors for "Omar," for an additional $30. The report stated that all attempts to find a physical presence for Rochville failed, noting that the "diploma" purchased by the network was mailed from the United Arab Emirates." "All animals are created equal, but some animals are more equal than others".
And there are another 4-6 "colleges" all associated with Rochville such as Belford, Ashford, Alameda, and Suffield. who all advertisers their diploma mills via Google Adwords. Anyone know of a successfull way to getting these real diploma mills kicked off Adwords for violating their own TOS?
You can call/e-mail and report them. If they spend a bunch don't expect too much to be done about it - at least that's been my experience.
well.. google is losing it. they don't answer email to their real customers.. but I have seen people do unbelievable things to their system.. and they do nothing about it . in time .. a new company will come in and google will go the way of altavista
