i am so tired of adsense it seems it depends on the day of the week they decide what to pay out look heres monday 83 5 6.02% $xx.xx $2.07 heres today 55 6 10.91% $x.xx $0.30 there skimming they gotta increase there quarterly earnings somehow for there stockholders i have been noticing this for weeks now now tomorrow it will be even lower then thursday itll be high again. im tired of adsense bs anyone else notice this?
How can you possibly make any kind of assumption on 5 clicks If only 5 visitors a day are clicking on your ads, maybe AdSense isn't the program for you.
this is a site i put up to test my thery. not just this site i have many many of them and see it daily between them all
Google doesn't receive the same reveune on every click. It depends on the publishers and their campaigns. Some bid more than others or run short campaigns. You can't expect the same per click on every click. The top ad in an ad unit may pay more than the bottom ad.
Except when your test involves 5 clicks, all you need is a good one at $1.50 and it makes it look like it is wildly fluctuating. As already said, all it means is one of your clicks was on a higher paying ad. You need at least couple hundred clicks a day in order to see consistency.
i have done it with hundreds of clicks a day like i said i have noticed this for a while... imo adsense sux
That seems like a lot of assumptions just based on whatever trials you've conducted. Did you expect your revenue totals to be the exact same every single day? Look at some of the big earners in the forums, who make 1k/day+.. they can vary by 200-300$/day and they're fine with that, they just keep working to increase ad performance, SEO, etc etc... maybe you could do the same, and see an overall increase in performance/money return? I think overall it balances out in the end, whether you have some high/low days, or just an average day every time...
I guess I could understand that in general... but the thing is, it's all up to whatever ad you get served to your site that gets a click. Some keywords have a really high bid price, while others, which might be so similar that they also appear on your site have a very low bid price, so while you get clicks on both ads, your money from each one varies incredibly. I've had some $1.61 clicks, and I thought wow! But, on that same site from the same ad group that same day, I've had clicks for .20 and .30 as well - it just totally varies depending on what ad gets clicked and its bid price. That's why I say the best way to go is to look at what keywords related to your topic (and possibly showing on your ads) are the high paying ones, and find ways to include or optimize your site to trigger ads based on it.
I'm not sure why people complain so much about how much Google is taking, and how the cut varies, etc. Either you use AdSense because it makes more than other forms of ads you use, or you find some better advertising method and you stop using it. Don't worry about how much Google makes - worry about how much you make. I wouldn't care if Google takes a 99.9% cut, as long is it's the most profitable ad system for a site, I'll use it.
yes we all know that, same amount of clicks or more, lower earnings ... this problem depend on the type of ads shown in your site and content of pages . my earnings is low for me but if you see them they will look real high for you lol ....
I guess I have to agree with Domaintrader though. Even though I am not a pro like most others here, neither do I claim to be one or have I studied the behavior in depth, but I can see a similar pattern to his. I also agree with yfs1. My sample size is too small to be statistically relevant, so its just my feeling and no hard evidence.
nice talk jack, that's it . I don't hate adsense, I accept what I get from it because they are just a few extra bucks to my real bussiness in real life .
I agree. If you don't like adsense then do what I did .... go west! For some they went east ... and others they just stayed home. lol
Google Adsense has thousands of publishers using it daily, and they've already been sued for fruad. Not to mention that there are thousands of hungry lawyers out there waiting for any moment they can take more out of a hefty corporation such as Google. I doubt your earnings are mislead, but the type of 'ad' can make a difference. It could be worse, penny ringtone ads?
What you need to do is look at the ads delivered on your site and try to work out which advertisers are buying bulk clicks from Google. These advertisers often pay a maximum of just .03 cents per click (or less). Once you have excluded these (by using the competitive ad filter) you have ads remaining that will pay more per click. It stands to reason that by just offering higher value clicks you are going to get better returns. I believe this is the clue to high Adsense returns. It's perfectly legal by Google (otherwise why would they provide this option). Only trouble is that it takes a bit of work checking your site's ads (being careful not to click any) but you can raise revenues. Try it and see.
