I don't think it makes one bit of difference to the search engine, but your audience might have an opinion about one or the other.

 

better is .com but u want to target a region then co.in is better

 

Well if your branding .com is always better. As far as SEO I have not been able to see any difference in extensions.

There are 2 types of domain name in the market.

I agree, and if .com not available, then you still can use other TLD such as .net or .org

 

.com, is most importance than every domain because most people know a website with .com domain

 

its depend on your business services like your business is worldwide so if you purchase .com so its better and if you want some extra like uk and some .in so better is .com but if you want ranking in only any one conuntry and it only related for your country so better is you purchase country wise domain name so you can get result better and fast

 

Yeah as some have already stated, for example if you have a .co.uk domain name, you are more likely to rank highly in .uk search engines such as google.co.uk.

.com is generally the best for a wider, global audience.

Yes i think .com and .co.in varies in two diffirent ways according to pure SEO point of view.
If you want to focus specifc region ( India ) or region, you must stick to .co.in
But on a whole .com is the best of all and kept on high priority by GOOGLE too as its world wide.
