I saw the stupid and big "60 days money back guaranteed" logo on the right hand side.. My sales drop quite a lot these few days... How about you guys? Did your sales increase or decrease?
Of course it can considerably increase refund rate, depending on the message on the logo!!. Anyways, what i like this time is the fact that they are testing different messages (sentences) which are a little bit less provocative than what they tried before. Lets see what happens.
More sales... although id like a sign saying "sorry we suck and dont take all cards please use the paypal system to do so"
yes ..refund rate would increase badly and sales would drop as well for sure, as i noticed a higher refund rate since last couple of days because of this logo i think. and slightly a bit decrease in sales as well ...please move to previous and original one guys ...
The last week has been verys slow for my sites. I only made $31 today after goind about 10 days without a $ - it sucked!
Looks like they just changed it again. Worse than ever. Can't even read the print cause it's too small. If I were a customer, I would be afraid to buy through this page. I wonder if the overall gravity graph drop on cb-analytics is due to these changes?
I think a lot of that drop is from big launched internet marketing products coming down from the basically artificial gravity.
Another 2 Sale Yesterday and both refunded again ...i am doing with same site, same product ,same niche (Reverse Phone Lookup)since 3 month but last 7 or 8 days ,i saw most worst refund rate than ever ...just one but stupid change to payment page and all of my effort got vanish ..it seems like people are buying only to refund ...just download the phone report and after reading all the details ,ask for refund and you would get your money back "No Question Asked" ..hell this logo is making people to buy and save their money by refunding them. even they can enjoy full information
I have not really seen any change in my sales/refund rates. Actually, I haven't had any refunds lately at all. I do think that it will effect certain products though...I feel like many products do not live up to what the customer expected, and before the refund policy was not obvious. Therefore, the change would cause more refunds, because now the customers know they can. As far as the Reverse Phone Lookup - are you sure the service is working properly? I know if I paid for it, and it did not return the info for the phone number I was looking for, I would refund.
HA...it looks like they are still testing...I just checked an order page earlier today and it was there...now it is gone again.
what do you mean here by working properly ...so far i checked recently its perfectly working fine . I am promoting phone detective right now, a very well known product inside clickbank market place..If you are talking about the 1 year membership that would allow people to search a basic phone number for 1 year n if a person did not find the phone number within 60 days after purchasing the membership then probably he/she might ask for refund and this is quite sensible ...now i assume what happening ,the sales which i am getting with less amount for one time full detailed report for a cell or phone number can be download by paying and once concerning person got all needful information ,he/she can simply ask for refund ,no matter, satisfied with service or not?
I am just saying that usually people have a specific phone number they are trying to look up when they search for this type of service/product. If they buy it, but it does not give them the info they needed about that specific phone number...they would most likely want a refund. Most people are trying to lookup cell phone numbers, which I believe are kind of hit and miss when it comes to reverse lookups. Back on point...is anyone else seeing that the order page is changing?
You guys won't be able to nail where/how/why/when or who they test this on. It was run from Tues-Friday on specific vendors and in specific regions. Yes any vendor can request that it be removed for their program. They also split tested a bunch of the seals not just one. Again if you notice a dramatic change, chances are your vendor did too - it's not affecting all products the same though and for some it's really helping I'm sure. If you're getting refunds, chances are maybe they would NOT have bought without that seal to begin with anyway - so the products themselves could be to blame partially or the vendors retention campaigns are poor. i.e. good vendors offer something of value in place of a refund, great vendors deal with customers right away to ensure there is no refund. MOST vendors create crappy products to begin with, thinking only about the money not customer satisfaction ^ Case in point - and rely solely on the overflow of people that do NOT refund as their profit - the rest they don't care about because they have xx other sites doing the same and they are building more...
To me this is outright Theft on Clickbank's part. They should be asking the affiliate whether they want their account hoplinks used for these tests and only run the tests on the ones that opt-in, not the other way around. That's how all legit companies test things. Whoever pays for the traffic should be the ones asked to opt-in, otherwise it's theft. Yes, that's a possibility, but I believe it's unlikely, only because there are other big launches taking their place artificially, so it all averages out over time. Looks to me like there's definitely a trend down, and the timing is suspicious if you take a look at the other "oh no, they're messing with the order page" threads on here.
