How and Where to start SEO?

Hi. I want to know how to start an SEO project. i have a site Getajob2day.com for which i want to start seo work. i am basically interested in OFF-SITE SEO.

Start with google keyword analytics tool - that tells you what words people search for. Then build up backlinks from a mix of different sources with a mix of different anchor text - not too many at once or you might get a penalty.

 

You need to start building backlinks to your site.

I'd suggest writing some articles and becoming an authority in your niche.

 

You need to start with on page seo.

1) Fix your Index page "Description" Meta-Tag, you have 2 Description Meta-Tags, the default Wordpress (blank) & then the AIOSP plugin that is adding a 2nd Meta-Tag. Looks like Google is reading only the first (blank) Description Meta-Tag, so since it can't find anything, it's picking up random content on the Index page in the SERPs.

2) Thin out your Adsense Ads a bit, go to your Adsense Control Panel & look to see what Ads are actually earning their keep, remove the rest. My Adsense rule of thumb, If it doesn't make money in 1 month get rid of it. (try another Ad, new content, etc...)

I bet that Adsense in the top Nav. bar is your money maker, am I right?

3) Change each post page so that it includes an <h1> tag for each post Page/Title, instead of the Index page for every page on your blog. Try & get each page ranking on it's own.

4) Tighten up your WP security

 

Start by deciding a good keyword for your site and then revolve that keyword around your content, titles, headers in the site. Also include Meta Tags in your site, currently they are missing from there.

Once you have done your stuff with On Page Optimization then it will be better to start with Off Page Optimization.

 

For any SEO campaign, a thorough keyword research for your niches would be necessary. You must generate a list of your main targeted keywords and variants of them. Then, on page optimization would start with designing a well structured site navigation system not only seo friendly but also user friendly.

Search in Google "free SEO e-book" or "free seo ebooks". Download 2 or 3. Read them and start with on page SEO. It is very easy task.

there are tons of tips online; just search them on google. read on some ebooks is the only real way to understand it. telling you step by step to what to do isnt really gonna help much in the future.

Even though you are interested n off page, you need to do on page for your site. Then star focusing on keywords by link building. it wil help you a lot.
