Article submission list

Be careful with numbers here.. in my opinion anyway.

I have been using article marketing for almost 2 years now and I have a pretty solid personal list of reliable sites that work for me. The truth of the matter is that really only less then 30 directories ever get me results.

One strategy that I highly recommend you do is focus on your article title. GO through the engines and put your title in quotes and make sure that you get 0 results for the title. If you get any results, then tweak the title until you get 0. Now when you submit your site you will be able to track the progress of the article and watch how often it appears in the engines.

After a while you will see which directories work and which ones do not.

One thing to keep in mind is that the results you get will not mean that many back links... but you can count on about 20% of them being back links.

 

Can you write an article about a popular subject that's unrelated to your websites content and still get good links to your site? In other words if I know the subject of travel gets lots of traffic on the article sites and I write an article on travel but my link is for a niche medical site. Will that generate useful links?

 

What kind of usefull links do you think that this method will generate.

You will simply get a NON-relevant link. And this link will be very weak.

Why don't you want to write up an article for your niche? Writing an article for travel and pointing it to a health site will only daze the customers. You won't get quality traffic at all!
You will have a fake impression about your traffic.

I was looking though the articles on several of the article submission sites and noticed that some people were doing this and was Just wondering why.

 

Mybe that they are focusing only on the keyword optimization from the anchor text of the links from the footer. BUT they need to be aware that all these are links from Un-relevant pages, so their effect won't be that cool.

OR maybe they allready have some article written on some popular topics and are trying to get the best of them by submitting with the different keywords/niches as anchor text.

Anyway, this is not a great optimzation plan!

 

You are saying that you are using only 30 directories???

Why do you use so few??
And you are sayin that you are on the market for 2 years...


What are these 30 directories doing?
IF they are adding your article instantly, then I belive you! You are doing a great job,
But if you are waiting for 30 articles up to a week to have your 30 one-way links than you have wasted your time.

 

That is why I will ask you PPL to start building a solid article directories list. The most solid that ever existed, Something like LINUX

I am going to start a thread, with my list, verified, with all my articles placed in categories, like, the ones that are adding instantly, the ones that are adding in less then 3 days, in less then a week.. and so on..
and each of you will start to add new article directories to this list, and of course to check the existing ones for mistakes. and to remove them.

In this way our list will be continuously updated with new reliable directories and, in the same time it will be cleaned of bad directories, mistakes, and so on.

I will appreciate a lot your cooperatively and we all benefit from this.

Just to clarify. Is it ok to submit content on your website as an article to one of these directories? Someone mentioned a problem about duplication.

 

I like your site. Fast approval, but these popups, oh gosh....and loading time is little bit longer that on the others sites. I use article submitter pro.

please update your list to include it.

It is good free general directory with good features.

I have a new niche article directory for adwords and seo. Its fairly new but I actively promote it and run a blog along side of it which is updated on a reqular basis. I suspect it will receive a decent PR soon.

Submissions will be reviewed swiftly as it is new for the time being.

I don't know what you think but I've found ezinearticles.com to be by far the best source of traffic and more importantly a back-way into ranking in google. I've had articles that come in at number 1 after 3 days when the competition is under 10,000.

Anyone else have similar experiences with other article directories?

useless if you submit your article to many article directories, you need to rewrite them...

 

I agree. It makes difference considering rank in SE and back links.
