Guys, I recently post a question about using the Thesis theme and my replies were great. it was recommended that i use a free theme instead of spend the money on Thesis. What i do not think some of you understand about free templates and even premium templates is it not only what it looks like. I have not found a free template that is SEO compliant in the past day. So if you using a free template and know what your doing you may want to check your template. As a matter of fact if you do look at your template and THINK it is ok? I would like to see it and tell you why is or not. I just don't think your guys all know what to really look for in a SEO template. the bottom line is if your template is not SEO friendly you may be working really hard to get the best results in Google but will never get there and if you do it may only be by accident... Need to add that I just checked SEO book and their blog in NOT fully SEO compliant for general use. So if you were to get a copy of this template you would be working very hard and receiving minimal results. This template works for them because they are well established and ranking over most all SEO blogs.
I think you need work on everything about that. Only having SEO optimized theme won't help. If you type "Free SEO wordpress theme" in google search you will have tons on answers. I guess it's combinations between, website optimization (about theme, keywords, meta tags, title, etc) then links building, social media, etc. Good luck!
I understand your message however i do not think you understand mine. I was only making a point of using a theme the may not be SEO friendly. I know the SEO rules and know everything you mentioned will effect my blog but you must understand something many people don't. You can comply by all the rule of the current SEO suggestions but If you do not have a template to support you efforts you will not succeed. That was the message I was trying to get across. I do not think some of you know what your reading... Your just coming up with your own story to supply answers. Very confusing.
So give me your thoughts. What do you consider the most relevant in the SEO process? What do you really think helps you the most? What makes the search engine know your using your best method? Why or How do you think this works for you?
