where is God? You saw allah? Or did your prophets see? If somebody sees God, there is no point in his existence, he/she will come to know everything else. We live in this stupid world because we don't know anything. The day we know everything, we will no longer be interested in writing books for others to follow.
If eating termites, dodging predators and dying of easily curable diseases is a paradise, then I guess you could have a point
The only fact I know is that I don't believe in god or gods. And I will eventually die fulfilled, happy and content. Ask yourself, when you are first born, are you a believer? If not, then why should you believe when you start hearing people talk about a book? If you believe, are you saved? Saving you from what? A big flood?
Think what you want, but before you can choose what to do, you need to study the facts and then choose.
What facts? That the world is created in 6 nights and 8 days? Whoever wrote the book did a convincing job. The world was created in X number of days because god said so. Parable this parable that, all gibberish. Oh, you have problems? Let's me find a verse for you and that will lead you to enlightment or something to that extent. If you believe in god your whole lifetime, and he or she never shows up and you die, then what have you really believed in? A men made idea.
What characteristics of all the gods would lead you to believe they're all the same God? Apples grow on trees. Oranges grow on trees. Oranges have skins, Apples have skins. Therefore Apples are Oranges. All people have done is reverted back to the Greek mindset (minus the rationality) and called it progressive. At least the Greeks had the sense to realize they were all seperate and distinct gods. Apples and Oranges may be argued to coexist but only a very ignorant person would claim they are the same. I don't see how in one religion, God did everything so we wouldn't have to do anything to be saved and yet in every other religion he lays out rediculous rules and says we have to save ourselves.
I believe in God of the Bible, I believe that it has the place as the first religion - starting with the old testament and predates all others - I know that God has done many miracles in my life, has even healed me when I asked him to, I don't need a person to tell me God exists. I know he does. I know if he doesn't, this reality doesn't make sense. I totally agree with KalvinB on his example.
Do you know what is a soul? Do you know the afterlife? I'm sure there is God. Can you prove there isn't? Read this:
fatinfo writes: "Ask yourself, when you are first born, are you a believer?" When I was first born I was pooping in my pants and sucking dinner through a nipple. 1Cr 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. IN Christ
LOL... if some moslem hear that, they will say --> Porn, porn, porn! You must change the word with "Mom things"
Somebody gave me a rep! And asked me "u see hanuman?" LOL! I didn't so I am atheist! God is not in heaven, God is in truth. God is not in temples or places of worship, he is in heart. God or no God, let us do things according to conscience-This is what I believe, This is what we have to believe.
Ha ha ha, you funny girl. Let's all laugh at what she said And also, start word Muslim with capital letter next time..
Hinduism is not about Hanuman or somebody like Him. Those are stories for children to follow values. Also as a way of recreation in dramas and dances. This is true Hinduism-- "I bow to the manifestation of God I see on land (Fire), I bow to manifestation of God I see in the sky (Lightening), I bow to manifestation of God I see in the heavens (Sun, moon, stars), And I bow to the Mighty One whose form my material mind cannot concieve!" -This is a translation of a verse from The Rg Veda. -Aditya
Hes totally wrong, even my text-book that teaches evolution admits how religion effects us, and how the very foundations of our society rely on it.
Really? Man, are powerful or what? Do we have the power to create the creator? I don't think so. I have a strong belief in the Bible and not what man says. The love that the True Christian congregation has is the second greatest love I have ever experienced. However, the greatest act of love is the ransom sacrifice. For what though? For us blind, foolish humans who think we know better than Almighty God. How much more love do we need to prove that God loves us?
Allah is not a name, Allah is a word, a title, that cannot be genderized, nor plurazied (gods, goddesses) that can only be attributed to God Almighty. The Quran talks about the 99 names of God, Allah, but these are not names but qualificatives that describes His attributes and "modes" The God of Abraham, Jacob and Isaak, is the same God that in theory, Jews, Muslims and Christians profess. All 3 religions believe in the first 5 Books written by Moses (Genesis, Exodus, leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy. In Exodus 6:3 God Almighty's name is Jehovah (YHWH, Yahwe etc) The Jews quit using the name of God Almighty, Jehovah because of a superstition, that they were not worthy using His name (the name was in the Bible 7000 times) The Christians today follow the same tradition of not using the name of God and replaced it by LORD (all CAPS) in the Hebrew text, but when Jesus, Paul, John, Peter etc quoted Hebrew text (old testament) in the gospels and letters, the Christians changed LORD by Lord, and then got mixed up with Jesus, which brought a "justification to Jesus = Lord = LORD = God Amighty, which is NOT scriptural. exemples: Romans 10:13 "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" is a quote from Joel 2:32 "whoever calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved" Matt 22:43 "the LORD said to my Lord" who is who? Jesus quote from psalms 110:1 "YHWH (Jehovah) said to my Lord" Exodus 6:3 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=exodus6:3;&version=50; check foot note. So ALL 3 religions stem from same origines but all 3 got mixed up. There is only ONE God Almighty, the Father in Heaven that Jesus was praying to, and doing the will of, and his name is YHWH, Jehovah.
