If you watch closely most commercials and TV ads in Canada nowadays showcase company domain names with the .ca extension. You might still see an occasional .com but it’s getting rarer and rarer.

What this means for any business registered in Canada is that companies are spending billions of dollars on advertising, promoting the .ca on tv, in print, online, …in short everywhere. This means if your company runs on .ca it is getting free prime time exposure, its mindshare is increasing while the early adopted .com is decreasing, and in the future will be perceived as odd and less trustworthy when compared to its .ca counterpart’s, at least in Canada. Although this trend is arriving late compared to a higher .co.uk saturation in United Kingdom, and .de in Germany, nevertheless it has arrived in Canada as well.

What i find funny is that...

While you where wasting your all your money on those mediocre 3D .COM domain names, i was pre-registering premium .CO domain names. :)

    3D.CO ha!

    lmao
no matter how much you rattle your cage .com is still the most popular searched domain by the average joe
25 years you said it its not gonna disapear overnight and even though you speak about others its still the most sought after and the easiest to shift

    facts are facts
    right now in present times
    agree to disagree
    .CO
During Landrush, anyone who is interested in securing a short and memorable domain name of high commercial value will have the opportunity to submit an application before General Availability begins. MATCHING APPLICATIONS WILL BE RESOLVED AT AUCTION.
    1. I AM NOT RICH
    2. I KNOW I WILL PROFIT MORE FROM .COM
    3. IF MY NAMES BOMB I DONT LOSE MUCH MERE PENNYS
    4. A LOT LESS HASSLE
hope you have deep pockets :)
    good luck to you

There's an old saying: "don't put all your eggs in one basket".
In all, the ccTLD registrations grew to about 51.5 million in the past year. At this rate we should be expecting to celebrate more milestones in the near future.

numbers without meaning i agree totally

3d.co is no longer available to register for
    that says it all Cheat
it was but its not now
so while you were trying to snap up unobtainable domains everyone else has registered strong names in several different extensions.
oh and by the way i have over 350 pending .co's just to let you know that i will get

i feel a HA! coming on

i'd rather go for a couple of "normal kinda" .co domains which can be used for sites when they are open for public registrations

I don't mean to interrupt this nice little debate right now, because regardless how annoyed you guys might be getting at each other, you're still talking about some good and helpful information...

But I just regged a sweetheart - dot com, sorry
... but it's an adult dot-com if that gets me any extra points :)

    • Interactive3dSex.com

C'mon Cheat.... how'd I do on that one?

I will list a few more adult related 3d names a little later, but I had to stop the merry go round once I picked this up

    Opinions?

    I just made $50000000 selling 3DDomainsThatMeanNothing.com

Seriously, why would 3D revive the domain industry? Thats like saying .TV will save the domain industry. First, whats to revive? Thousands of reg's are made every single day. I'm pretty sure nothing is going away other than this 3D fad

I really wonder why people are so stressed out on 3D keyword domains?

The technology is just arriving in the stores: most of it isn't even out yet! Why should we concern of the 3D keyword potential if for the next 5-10 years there's no future competition on the tech market? Doesn't mean that 3D + any kind of keyword is gonna worth something... Do your homeworks and you will have a chance to get a great grab. Sincerely, really think that most of the great 3D domain names are already registered, but if you do your research on new coming 3DTechs you'll might get a cool DN. Anyway, the 100% sure way is to develop your domain names.
