UK Elections are coming closer, I still have no idea which party to vote for. Which party has the best polices you like, and could you name one of your favourite polices.
None of them! It makes no odds who we vote for as "The Sun" dictate who gets in hence Blair, this time round it's Cameron, so watch and wait you will see Cameron will be next UK Prime Minister....
Do, Brown has no hope, so it stands to reason Cameron will be next in. The Sun will back Cameron this time round to me thinks.
Not an expert on British politics, but the more I learn about European government, just like in the U.S. it appears to make absolutely no difference who you vote for.
Yes it is a sad state of affairs when Media can sway an election. Rupert Murdoch and his media group which includes the UK's best selling newspaper famously swayed towards Tony Blair prior to when he got in, and have shown a sway towards David Cameron this time round. Most newspapers have political bias in this Country. The Times - right wing - mostly pro Conservative Daily Telegraph - right - mostly pro Conservative Guardian - Liberal left Independent - Conservative - Liberal Daily Mail - Right wing - pro Conservative Daily Express - right wing - Pro Conservative The Sun - Traditionally right wing before supporting Labour during Blair's time, now swayed back towards right wing and Cameron and Conservatives. FT - Conservative Mail - Conservative The Mirror - Labour left wing I would bet the bookies have Cameron at odds on or there abouts due to The Sun and their about turn back from New Labour to the right wing Conservative party led now by David Cameron. That's how the great British democracy works I am afraid.
Another thing Fox did was help Obama get elected. Of course, everyone believes Fox is against them. In the U.S., the Council on Foreign Relations controls the media. Nothing is said without their approval. Fox News is in it. Obama was a virtual nobody when he ran and because of Fox (their attacks) he suddenly made headlines. He became a household name and voila ... he was in office.
LOL that was my point Helveti, even without the house of lords to prove it the media sway makes it pretty obvious
And it makes me wonder, why don't you people vote for someone who promises to turn Birmingham palace into a museum, change the national anthem and shut down the house of lords? Or is there no one who promises that?
Funnily enough Tony Blair had wanted to end heriditary peerage was what I heard he said (if my memory serves me correctly), not quite sure what went wrong there with that plan though!?!?
It's been like that since b4 an after my Norman ancestors came over here in 1066 Helveti. I lived in Galway Ireland (Republic of) and would still be thre if a Jihadist from Pakistan hadn't murdered my little sister and I had to come back to the UK to help my Mum look after my sisters children. Even things like the TV licence in this Country (run by the Gov) where the likes of pensioners get harrassed and have eve been imprisoned - unlike in Ireland where pesnsioners get free TV licences - shows the crazy rules people have to put up with in this Country. I have never voted for anyone and probably never will as none of them make any sense to me as the system and uncaringness of it makes equally little sense to me. Don't get me wrong the UK has some good points but it also has a lot of things that are wrong.

David Cameron will be the next PM, however a vote for the liberal democrats can't be a bad thing. We know the two other parties are crap and we have seen them term after term being crap, so we might as well give the liberal democrats a chance.
