Google is inoring 301 redirects!

Google is really pissing me off!

In webmaster tools, Google is showing more and more duplicate content because they are ignoring my 301 redirects!

When I check the HTTP header status of the pages, I get a status 301, then the page that it redirects to get a status 200 OK. So what is wrong with Google???

Can anyone else see an issue with these pages?

    http://www.searchbliss.com/seo-tools/default.htm 301 redirects to
    http://www.searchbliss.com/seo-tools/ 200 OK

    http://www.searchbliss.com/forum/default.asp 301 redirects to
    http://www.searchbliss.com/forum/ 200 OK

And now I have forum topics showing as dup content because of twitter with this in the query string: &utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
So I 301 redirected them. For example:
    http://www.searchbliss.com/forum/top...medium=twitter

    Redirects to
    http://www.searchbliss.com/forum/top...?TOPIC_ID=1101

The headers also check out ok, but I'm sure Google will ignore these as well. Is this happening with anyone elses 301's??? Could you please double check the headers incase I'm "seeing things". Thanks!

How long when the first redirect made? Google will not ignore 301 redirect but it would take a long time enough. I have experienced the similar when got one of my site moved through 301. I had to waited for around 6 weeks before things settled. However, this time period cannot be used as a standard anyway, just for help illustrate purpose.

As Sxperm said it takes some time.
I did a similar redirects and I was lucky as it took google about two weeks to get the new URL's right.
Unfortunately, Yahoo still shows old ones even after 5 weeks.... they are so slow.
When I was doing re-directs I expected about 5-6 weeks before google re-indexes everything.
Patience is a virtue, especially when it comes to indexing and SEO.

Have you reported it? Well, I'm sure they will just ignore your concern. :(

The forum redirects were done 6 months ago, and up to 2 month ago, Google was recognizing them, the stopped. The othera are more recent (1 month).

When did you 301 redirect it? As the people here said earlier Google takes time before it realizes the redirect.

The forums were redirected 5-6 months ago, and Google did recognize the 301's, until about a month ago.

Just wait, we are doing a 301 here, and it did pass on link juice to the new site.

.../seo-tools/default.htm isn not znd never was in Google's index. It was always .../seo-tools/
Yet Google added it as dup content in Webmaster Tools. I'll just have to wait again and see if Google catches up again with the 301's.

They do actually try to resolve things. They just have to receive it in a specific way.
