Sorry Chris, but I have to say this - Adbrite really sucks, and I am finished with it. I purchased an add for 1 day for 5 USD, with estimated clicks of 569. I use HOT SEXY thing in title, and I can say for sure that I am usually getting much more of estimated in other networks, but after half of day, I had received egsactly - DEEP BREATH - egsactly 6 clicks, so my CPC is 0.83 . Before this one I purchased add on a big site that costs me 175 & for a month, estimated clicks for month were 21500. But, of course, as usual, I get 55 clicks / day, not 700 as estimated. Never again Adbrite, never again.
Almir, Sorry to hear that. That seems way off! Could the code on the site have gone down for part of the day? That can happen and we do issue refunds in that case. If you think there are drastic mis-representation of clicks our support team is happy to look into things. One other way to have more success as an advertiser is to buy direct CPM ads to test a site prior to locking in flat rate. I will check into our calculations to make sure nothing has changed and see if there is something wrong, but from what i have seen those calculations have been monitored consistently. Thanks, Chris
Hi Chris ! I like your willing to answer and try to help, but I really get pissed ( ups ) when these things happening. I am small webmaster and each penny is important to me, and when I loose money day for day, thats awful. This big site I purchased adds for mont had plugged some of my content yesterday, so I will get some visitors now. That wont help me to bring back paid money, as I earnd most when people come on my homepage, but that guy was very fair with these plugs. Site that sent me WOW - 10 clicks ( 569 estimated ) is http://www.torrentmatrix.com/ I really hate to say that, but this is so drastic difference, that its really silly, and I think you should really think about issuing refunds in these cases. As I said , each penny is important, but its not asll in that 5 $, but in that that I really loose any interest to buy any ad from Adbrite when have these kind of situations. I dont know, I checked them when wrote 1. post, and now, ads were online, but anyway 2 % of estimated clicks is awful, specially when I have pretty eyecatching adds that usually attract even more people than estimated.
I have had pretty decent success with Adbrite as an advertiser. Some campaigns will be great, some won't. There are a lot of factors: What you are advertising What your offer is How good your copy is and what sites you choose IMO just because it doesn't work for one offer, doesn't mean it can't work for others. Travis
Come onman, read all posts I made here. I am not stupid, I know some will work, some not, and I know where i should advertise. From last 10 campaigns, only one was succesfull, all others gats at least 3 times less clicks than estimated. And this one gets 3 % of estimated clicks. I would have bigger percent if was selling ice to Escims.
I have a question, Im in Australia trying to sign up as a publisher. But its asking for a social security number, well we dont have those here. How do non-US people sign up at adbrite??
Chris, Adbrite.com doesn't work very well in Firefox, I think you should be aware of that. All I get is a non-formatted 1995-esque page. The first time I saw that I thought it looked too n00b. Then I looked at it in IE and it's fine. Could you get someone to fix that? Edit: I'll second Longroad's comment. I'm in Australia too and we don't have SS numbers. Could you please make it more open to us too?
I was just wondering, I recently signed up and bought a 1 month text link from a very small site which costed only $0.30 to try out your system. After signing up, my link seems to be in the pending review queue and have been like that for 5 days now. The recurring billing date has already started and even if my link was put up today, I would only receive 25 days out of the month. About how long does each link take to get reviewed? Thanks, Ed
I've sent them an email as well and have not received a reply yet as well, its been almost 30 hrs since sending an email and counting; it says that I should receive a reply within 24 hrs...
i used adbrite.com as an advertiser. i gave ads to many website on your service and also used " network ads".. it was my the biggest fault that i made in my internet experiences... you know i wrote you and told all these..and you refund me a bit money..not completely refund ( just added to my adbrite account ) !! nearly all your publishers have wrong web site information at your service ! For example xxx.com :when i look to this site info at adbrite, i see that this site will send me 500 visitor in 1 week..i add this site to my card and gave ads.. after 7 days i saw that only 2 or 3 visitors sent me.. many samples like these.. and network ads... i chose an ads package : for exaple from usa and uk visitors ( 1000 visitors ) im looking to my stats : all hits coming from TURKEY - INDIA - ENDONASIA or bal bla bla.. ????????????????????????????? even no 5 visitors from USA or europe.. im looking to web sites that my visitors coming from ( adbrite publishers sites ) one game site..no content..one text " click to ads to download erotic movies ".. and i saw my ads there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway..shortly... you were my fault...really my big fault.. i dont like " adbrite" ..
hmm judging from these posts perhaps I shouldn't even bother signing up.. I emailed them days ago asking about the SS number issue, still no reply.
Your SS# or Tax ID, can just be blank if you are not from the US. I apologize that nobody got back to you. As for the waiting to have ads approved. That is up to the publisher to approve the ads. On the product page of many publishers, there is an estimated time for how long it takes them to approve ads. You can contact us directly if there is an issue, or want the ads stopped if they have not been approved. Thanks Chris
I think the reason why your ad didn't get much clicks because the adbrite ads on above site is on its very bottom of the site.
I would like to ask you, does my credit card get charged before my ad is approved? Because its been 6 days now and my ad has still been showing on the website. I'm considering to cancel the ad purchase. Thanks alot for your reply.
instanet, We charge credit cards right away, because if there is a bad card, we don't submit the ad to the publisher for approval. If the ad hasn't been approved the money is in your account to spend on other ads. If you want it back on your credit card we can also do that. Please email me and I will look into your situation further. , just tell me your username and the site you were attempting to purchase an ad on. Thanks, Chris
Hi Chris, I heard that you were launching banners adds based on cpm? when will be that? do you have any ETA on it?
I dont agree with you when you say adbrite sucks You need to experiment a bit to get the best out of your money. I am both an advertiser and a publisher with adbrite and been with them for more then a year now and never had any complaints either with my publisher account or when i advertise i get what i pay for. As far as you not getting as many clicks as you thought you would there are a number of factors involved If you advertise guns on a site about bible you arent gonna get much clicks dont be offended this was just an example. There is a bit of research needed to get good results with advertising on adbrite. If i start talking about what you need to look for I would be sitting here and writing for hours. just spend some time do some research and you will be fine. dont buy monthly ads straigh away they have daily and weekly ads for a reason there. PS: I am not an employee of adbrite or trying to promote them I am just telling you guys what i have experienced. I run adbrite on several sites and been runnig thier ads since July last year
Links are not reviewed by adbrite guys Its up to the publisher to review it by logging on to his adbrite account. for instance my site www.desisensation.com If you buy an advert on it through adbrite I will recieve and e-mail saying ads for review pending blah blah blah and then its up to me to log into adbrite account and either accept it or decline it so adbrite guys dont have anythign to do with it estimated review times are stated on the landing page and that is a sort of average of how much time it took for the publisher to review the ads he recieved earlier. So if i have been reviewing all my ads within 2 hours for the last 1 year and i decide have an accident and be in the hospital for a month Its gonna be sitting there without review and in this case you can contact adbrite and get the ad cancelled. makes sense?
