Another one for Infolinks. I'm earning ten times more than I was with Kontera. :)

Hey guys, on more dig against Kontera. You may have heard that Google is now going to begin to use page load time in its algorithm. I doubt it will be a big factor but who knows. Anyway, my page loading times have been slowing down recently and using Page Speed, I discovered that the Kontera javascript and flash files have been adding a whopping 200K to every one of my pages. No wonder google is saying my load times are increasing.

So I'm looking at switching to Infolinks. Does anyone know what their file sizes are????? thanks

If you use firefox, you have probably seen the Firebug plugin that helps debug html, css, etc. If you have Firebug you can download Page Speed, another plugin that operates under Firebug. Page Speed will let you analyze the load speed of any page. So you go to a page that is using Kontera or Infolinks, you open Page Speed, you click on the Resources tab and it will show you every file that is downloaded to make that page display correctly. This includes image files, js, html, flash, everything. You then just look at the files that are clearly associated with Infolinks, say, and it gives you a great idea how much extra burden Infolinks will put on any given page.

From previous experience with Kontera, I chose to go with Infolinks as an alternative. Been pretty happy with my results as for the past 4 months versus the brief time I had with Kontera where I was literally little to nothing. Still would like to test out Vibrant Media through hearing so many rave reviews....just need to build up more traffic in order to apply though.

Another alternative is Chikita, they provide similar service as Kontera at the same rate. They have a low payout and can be paid via Paypal.

I think Chitika has stopped accepting any new websites. I tried submitting an extra website to my account but they told me they're no longer accepting new websites by now.

I would like to suggest chitika and infolinks. I use both of them and chitika is even better than infolinks.

    Hi Fifo,

I’m the Community Manager at Kontera and I want to update you about some exciting new developments on the Kontera network.

We've just increased our new publisher’s revenue share to 70%, now the highest in the industry. We’ve also lowered our minimum payout threshold to $50 across all payment methods (Infolinks $50 payout only applies to certain payment methods), meaning you’ll get your money faster.

Kontera also has a much more relevant and exclusive ad inventory. We offers premium ads, from such globally recognized brands as Dove, Samsung, Blackberry, Intel, and Volvo which are not only more attractive to people visiting your site, but translates to higher CPC and CTR performance. These ads are only available through Kontera, and speaking to Roshanpk’s issue, is the kind of rich media content other ad networks that only feature generic ad feeds can’t provide.

Additionally, our contextual In-Text technology is simply superior to all other competitors. The Kontera algorithm finds the right ads for the relevant content and keywords on your site. More than just highlighting keywords on a page, like competing technologies, we understand the content of the entire article, its sentiment and subject matters. This leads to much higher relevancy to your text that translates to a much higher click-through-rate and revenues.

Although our 70% revenue sharing rate is primarily meant for new publishers, if anyone in this thread wants to take advantage, just e-mail me privately and I’ll be happy to update your account.

    Thanks,

    Jonathan Cohen
    Kontera Community Manager
