How long can we keep money in PP Indian accounts?

    Hi everybody,

    I have some confusion.
Some guys on the forum have said that money in Indian PayPal accounts should not be kept for more than a month or so.
However, most people are of the opinion that there are no such limits since PP functions as a virtual bank account.
Is there any truth to such rules?
Am I risking something by withdrawing rather slowly?

    PLEASE COMMENT...THX

I don't think there's a limit like that.. I've been keeping money in my paypal accounts for years. I seldom withdraw them as I use them for investments..
At any time, I keep $200+ in my paypal account and never had an issue..

No Friend, There is no limit. But if you received funds by goods, you can withdraw it by 30 days. If you receive funds by other option, You can keep as long as you live. :)

There is an alleged directive sent to several Indian account holders through e-mails that clearly state of withdrawals to be done within 30 days of receiving the fund. This is still a directive yet to be published on Paypal's policy update page and so is still far from being implemented immediately.

There is no confirmation from PayPal on such policy. Though there were some emails to some of the Indian PayPal users about this but no official announcement from PayPal.

    Thanks

Nobody knows... I guess, as Paypal itself has not cleared its position on such details. Let us not worry over this issue and instead look to cross the bridge... when it comes! :)

i agree with rightman. A the moment everything is working. My account is even working without PAN card. I will be closing my other account soon and entering that PAN in my current account.
