Hello, I was wondering when someone posts the same article contents to say 5 article directories all articles on the 5 sites/directories are indexed? Could those same articles escape the duplicate content slap and get indexed? Or probably, only 1 would be indexed? thnx.
I suggest that you spend 15 minutes of your time getting the correct information directly from Google. Check out this video for the "horses mouth" on this topic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hSoXutuj0g&feature=player_embedded#t=873
Escaping? I like that term... Very Nice... I distribute my articles and my clients just like that, but they go out to over 1000 different websites, blogs, pages, forums and so-on. All of them get listed and I do get a backlink from each site that has my article attached to my link.
I never submit same article on different article directories. I do not think that it is effective while we submit same article too many article directories. It will simply look as duplicate content. Even if we submit article by spinning, google will crawl only one article not all.
Surely, they will be indexed otherwise the purpose of 1000's of Articles directories would finish...thanks
I have my doubts. I do not think google would give the same importance to each and every such links that originates from different sites but the same content! I would rather prefer to change the content a bit here and there... than submitting them copied word by word! Regards, RightMan
I agree with RightMan, maybe it's better to make changes here and there before submitting the articles - think it'd get higher content rating as they become 'unique' to Google, more than just being duplicate content.. but then again, if more people gets the link AND google indexes the articles nonetheless, still win-win right? =)
As for as my experience, Google do crawl hundreds of back-links after submitting the same article to 1000s of sites. However, some article directories are getting strict these days for duplicate contest and we should spun them before submission in those.
I agree, they are probably worth less than a fresh article on the other sites but are not fully worthless (yet).
