Hi all: I was just curious what action others are taking in the world of unsolicited email spam. Every day we receive 1000's of unwelcomed emails. On Mondays we look forward to 5000+ and growing, translates to 1 hour of manual sorting. I am getting up to my eyeballs with this crap. I use MS email filters, I use spam assasin but these as*&oles are still getting through. I have been online since 1998 so alot of this was harvested in my early days then passed on from scumbag to scumbag. Currently there is no way to harvest this info from any of my sites. My dilemma is that all of our valuable clients have our email addresses in their address book so simply deleting them and making new ones is not an option. Is there any effective solutions that anyone is aware of to STOP THIS without sacrificing existing email addresses . Appreciate any feedback! Cheers, H
Hey davert; Thanks very much. I was hoping there was a more suitable solution. I have 60 email addresses that will need this. I couldn't find any info on their site about this but can I get 1 package from them and forward all 60 of my addresses to it? Thanks, H
What's Tuffmail? Where do I go to check this out? Like most everyone, I am about sick of the SPAM, refuse to give up my email addys and get tired of wading thru all the crap.
I actually just googled it and assume this to be the right one. The biggest package I see is: But I have 60 . I don't think this is the right one for me. What I am trying to find is recommendation to a type of email authentication service. I can recall in the past sending someone an email and getting an immediate response asking me to "authenticate" my address. I think this would work pretty good for me...or is there a better solution that anyone is currently using and happy with? Cheers, H
Why not use boxtrapper for your domain? You can create your whitelist upfront, so you don't interrupt operations when installing it...
Thanks frankcow, I tried this but it causes heavy load on the server. Maybe I'll my best bet is to fine tune Spam Assasin . H
You could always outsource boxtrapper, or beef up a dedicated email server so that it doesn't affect operations
