I have problem linking card to paypal. pls help me.

Hi pals i linked my debit card to paypal 1 week ago. They charged 1.98$ from my card & asked me to confirm card by entering code received on my bank statement but bad thing is i didn't received code in my bank statement or card slip. it shows POS purch in statement. I personally visited bank and asked code, they told they didn't got any code.

I am from india & my bank is Indian Bank. Pls can anyone help me.

Why did you try linking a debit card issued by an Indian bank? They anyway do not work with Paypal. You have to use either a credit card or a bank account for verification!

Hmm paypal won't accept indian debit card's. BTW what bank's debit card you have used? I am also confused if you were able to use then where did you find the CVV code of your Debit card?? As far as I know there is no 4 digit CVV code at the bank side of debit cards.

 

3 digit CVV code is present in most of the debit cards, at the backside. (with the Maestro card by SBI being a known exception to me)

But, the thing I want to ask the OP is..

How did the transaction get through on Paypal (because Paypal don't have VbV or MCSC enabled - which are required for using Indian debit cards in online transactions).
Which Bank's card is it? If the debit cards issued by it can be used without entering your secret password for VbV or MCSC, then the bank is breaching RBI guidelines..

 

I have Bank of Baroda debit card and there is no such CVV code at the backside of the card.

 

Ok. Just saw on their website that they offer some debit cards without the code.. but still.. CVV does exist for BoB debit cards too..

I have a VISA debit card from SBI, and a MasterCard from HDFC, both having a 3-digit CVV code at their backside.

 

i used my Master debit card issued by Indian bank. It as secret code behind the card

 

will CC of bank of baroda will work with paypal ? or i have to create new account at any other bank like SBI, BOI, HDFC to get CC that can be linked with paypal?
currently i have tried linking my bank of baroda account to paypal, and waiting for initial transaction that paypal will do.

 

If it's a Credit Card, then you should be able to use it..
Issues arise only when you try to use Debit Cards

If you have used credit card with paypal then you must got verification code on your address from paypal in 15 days.
