    Whenever I use vpn softwares to access some sites, I dont sign in yahoo, as I think its not safe. I also do get some weird messages and contact info from the messenger after I start the vpn.

    Till you don't use yahoo messanger on cyber-cafes...it is safe I believe, because there are way too many viruses to corrupt it or steal your info if you use it on a public or shared computer. On a personal computer, it is safe though. I have been using it for the past 9 years and never got my account hacked..may be because I used it at home only. So, better to be safe than sorry.

    I never have any trouble as long i'm logged in with my own personal notebook and using kaspersky as protection. Last year there are a lot of virus that sent from my friends and looks like he is trying to sell me something. As a matter of fact when I ask him, he said he didn't send me any message. Someone might ever experienced this before.

    Overall. I'm still satisfied using yahoo, except for the crashing part with internet download manager browser integration. just my 2 cent.
