Payment is one of the most advanced and revolutionary payment system and there are lot of people online who are not doing biz with google just because they don't wallow paypal option. Google is also aware of the situation. What is the reason they don't accept paypal?

Yes, Google adwords doesn't allow you to pay using Paypal. I would think they would at least allow you to pay with Google Checkout.

Yahoo lets you pay with Paypal :)

Care to explain why they will get a lot more users if they take PayPal? I don't think they will get any more.

As everyone's mentioned they're not related companies. Google would like to own their own internet payment processor. They're not about to work under PayPal.

even google adsense also dont use paypal , google dont like paypal and they want to be independent and use their own services . i dont think if paypal is added , it brings more customers . because google may ask for verified paypal accounts and most people are not verified with paypal .

In addition to being a rival company, Paypal isn't that secure. People are getting their Paypal accounts hacked or creating accounts with fraudulent information or credit cards, or running up huge charges then abandoning their accounts all the time. Google is reduces their risk by requiring you to enter a billing address in your account that matches the billing address the credit card company or bank has. They couldn't do that with Paypal as a middleman.

Also, Paypal charges fees to the payment recipient. Google almost certainly has negotiated a better deal directly with the credit card companies, so it's less expensive for them.

You can use your PayPal debit card to pay for AdWords campaigns. If you do not have a PayPal debit card, then you can generate a virtual MC number through PayPal. Sooo, AdWords DOES accept PayPal.

I'll second several comments here. 1) Paypal is definitely not very secure. Paypal also tends to favor the buyer in a dispute, so Google would likely end up losing a larger percentage of their revenue to Paypal than they do to credit card chargebacks. 2) Paypal is expensive. Considering the size of their company, I'm sure Google has a good negotiated rate with their credit card processor. 3) Paypal is a rival service. I'm not going to put an ad for a rival copywriter in my checkout process, why should Google support a rival during theirs.

As iknow pointed out, you can use a Paypal debit card to pay Google. If you don't have one, then just upgrade your account. Now you can use Paypal, and you'll get cashback from using the debit card.

I think the reason is that paypal is not very secure. Google thinks its better to charge directly from the credit cards...

Because they own google checkout! Which accepts credit cards from anywhere in the world anyway, so why would you want to use paypal. Just use your card.

PayPal won't give Debit card to all users. In India it is not available.

If we go thro' many threads here, we can easily understand that many people are not having credit card, they purely depend on paypal for doing online business.

If you are serious about doing business on the Internet or anywhere, you need to have a credit or debit card. How could you possibly assume that everybody you want to do business with accepts PayPal? Look at this thread... the OP can't use AdWords, because he doesn't have a credit or debit card.

There is no excuse for not having a credit or debit card. If you are having credit issues, then you can buy a pre-paid card just about anywhere. There are also secured credit cards that you can get that will help you build your credit as you use them.

I just don't understand why the people in this forum insist on trying to be professionals, but refuse to get the tools needed to be a professional.
