Can anyone tell me the reason behind this sudden drop in the keywords ranking?

Hi All,

I have an site related to electronic cigarettes http://www.electronic-cigarettes-now.com/, before few days the site is ranking good for the keywords 'Electronic Cigarettes' & Electronic Cigarette' and now the site is ranking nowhere for the keyword 'Electronic Cigarette' and on the 46th page for the keyword 'Electronic Cigarettes'.

Can anyone please tell me the reason behind this sudden drop in the keywords ranking?

You need to have more links to your site.

Does not look like a penalty.

 

start working on backlink, thats the best medicine.

 

How old is your site? New sites tend to see more churn than older sites.

 

In my case, my sites dropped a little but I think its due to not having dynamic content on the homepage...

 

go for more backlinks, double time working for additional backlinks and im sure your keyword ranking will go sky rocket.

I think 200 backlinks would not guarantee a stable high SERP for your targeted keywords though your site does have a nice PR of 4. A fluctuation in SERP is a normal issue, especially for a new site. Keeping building more quality backlinks for your new site would be OK.

As other says, focus on backlinks and I want to suggest some onpage SEO.

 

how old is your site? Have you been buying links? If your site is not that old you will fluctuate in the rankings. Also if you have been buying links you may have had them discounted by Google thus sudden drop in rankings. Don't panic though I have had sites drop in rankings only for them to return 10 days later

 

Creating current back links is always important. But how often do you update the content or add new content to your site? That's important too.

 

Keep on adding new pages to your site every week and bookmark them. Try to get one backlink everyday for your site. They have to be one-way links not reciprocal links, as they will not get proper link juice if they are reciprocal.
Ping you site in some pinging sites once in every two weeks.

Keep adding new page . check your panality score it is also will we the reason of dropping your ranking. Improve your back links.

 

Try to be more consistent with your link building strategy. It will help to stabilize your ranking =)

I am doing hard to create good quality links but still there is no improvement in the ranking of the site, is there anything else that I can do rank my site better.

Get some relevant high PR authority site backlinks..this will help youe site to rank better....

It has only been a few days since your inital post, back links can take weeks and sometimes months to be indexed and then the SERPs need to be updated to accomadate that.

You will not see results this quickly with SEO, just keep building links for a few days, then wait for a couple of weeks and you will have the top spot in no time.

Just link link link link and you'll get it! Dont worry about checking your rank everyday, its a waste of time
