Hey guys, I find writing articles quite easy and enjoyable so can you tell me what's the difference between building backlinks only from your articles other than doing it with different things (forum posting, blog commenting, web 2.0 etc.) ? Will I still get my article ranked high on Google If I only do backlinking articles? Thanks in advance
I'd think that would look a little unnatural to Google and you may not rank as high as you would with blog comments and web 2.0 links as well. Most Web 2.0 sites you can stick articles on anyway so you might as well utilize them both if you enjoy writing. And blog commenting is one of the quickest ways to get a link. You write like a 2-3 sentence comment that's relevant to the blog post and you have your link. (assuming it gets accepted) That takes all of 3 minutes to do.
There's certain websites that I am aware of that rank pretty well in google only with links from Ezinearticles.com The procedure is not that easy though, since when you submit your articles to Ezinearticles they might not even get indexed straight forwards. The website I'm talking about ranks for some pretty popular keywords in its niche but it's linked from 200+ PR2 - PR4 Ezinearticles so I bet there's been some solid promotion done there. Al.
Articles are the main element of my seo work / backlinking work really - the term article marketing can be so broad if you take it to include posting on various blog networks, spinning articles, putting articles on web 2.0 sites as well as of course submitting articles to the main article directories too - I think you would do pretty well by JUST doing article marketing alone.... but as you suggest it probably doesn't get the wider aray of links - forum posts, blog comments, directory submission... I would still do other things too, but I would say 80% of my seo efforts are via some form of article marketing..
