how to get my first credit card

Hi all
i am 20 year old and i want to have a credit card to make transactions online.
first i want to ask if i purchase something online with use of credit card, will it be risky to give sites my credit card details
and secondly, what are the documents which i have to provide to get a credit card?
I have UCO bank account and i am from india.
any help will be appreciated.

Like you, numbers of guys from India are looking for credit card. Some guys are saying that you can get credit card on FD. SBI. Axis and ICICI are offering the scheme. So better visit to your nearest branch for more info.

And about documents, you need to provide Pan Card, Voter ID card, Electricity bill and Income Tax Return statement if you are tax payee.

3 days back i visited sbi bank and some one offered me for CC if i have 20K INR FD

he said just sign to application we will give CC within 20 days i not took that but it seems they made restrictions removed

 

If your earning online, just open an ICICI savings account, and start withdrawing from that,... when they see money coming in, they will give you a free CC
better than getting one,... coz if they give then there is no annual fee/ activation fee

Make a small FD and demand the instant CC on the spot from ICICI that is what I did.

I have HDFC credit card, for that i had to show them my salary slip, PAN card and address proof... Min salary should be 15,000 to get Credit Card of HDFC bank. if you wanna you need to contact your bank branch, they will help you to get credit card. other wise just call to your bank CC..

Do you want a CC from India or other countries?

 

go for Neteller. totally hasslefree. no monthly charges etc. and being a prepaid card its safe somewhat (if you are hacked etc you will lose what you have in your a/c not more).

Are you sure!! From what I have heard ICICI bank has stopped issuing new CC's

They are into service for existing CC clients but are not issuing any new CC's.

How much mimimum Fd amt is needed for CC
because i have acc in SBi bank.
