Windows 7 on Macbook Pro?

I've used windows all my life, and prefer it over a mac os.

Im thinking about buying a Macbook Pro before next semester in the fall. I know it would be less complicated to stay with the mac os.

Anyone here have a macbook with windows 7 on it? Any problems with it? Should I stick with the mac os and get use to it?

 

You can boot Windows on a Mac but I'm not sure if they've released a version for Windows 7. If I were you, I'd stick to the MAC OS. There's no hassle and you'll eventually get over the feeling of wanting to use a Windows OS.

You can try virtualization. For example Parallels.

Yes. More than half of all college students use a Mac. Everyone in one of my son's college uses Macs and he will be buying one later this year.

just stick with mac.. less problems .. better support if soemthing goes wrong

 

Windows can be installed on a mac system as a dual boot system by using an apple utility known as "boot camp". No need for virtualization.

 

agreed, When the software and hardware are made for each other it just works better.

 

You could try to put a Virtualbox inside of Mac os. Im pretty sure that you can do that.

 

The Mac Os is better than Windows because it is a more secure operating system against computer virues. The Mac Os runs more stable than windows; it doesn't crash as often as windows.

 

Yes I think its better to stick with Mac OS, instead of experimenting on something which is not so advisable or experienced by many people

I have a MacBook Pro with Windows XP. I haven't upgraded to Windows 7 yet. There was an issue with Vista not being able to be licensed to run Virtually ( I use VMWare so I don't have to reboot to use Windows ) I'm waiting a bit to make sure any kinks get worked out, but will eventually install version 7 when I'm sure about the virtual license thing. I prefer being able to run both operating systems at the same time.

 

just format the hard drive and install windows fresh.

 

Okay thanks guys. I think im going to buy a macbook pro for the fall semester. Ill stick with the mac os and try to get use to it, if I don't like it then ill switch to windows.

 

Why downgrade?
