hi Dpers today just before couple of hours my new 20" Samsung Lcd Monitor screen got wet by water when i am working in PC. I switched off it and wiped it out thoroughly and switched on after some hours. Now it is working fine. But I fear , does it affects the monitor in anyway(means pic quality or monitor work failure) I have valid warranty period but i am not sure the warranty is applicable to conditions like as i explained above. Any one had experienced the same here? What happend to your monitor then?

If its working then I think there is no problem.
Just use it. But people who got this problem sometime use Alcohol to remove each and every particle of water from any appliance.

I agree with Digital_shubhi.. if it works, it's fine. but you should have dry it well before plug it again. use sunlight for this kind of electrical equipments.. hope your monitor will be fine. how ever warranty is not valid for your mistakes.. and national disasters.

Just like previous posters wrote - if it's working, it's fine. ;) You need to be more careful, keep water and beer away from your screen. :)

Ya.... it is working fine now...... Only screen got wet, not the internal boards lol.... so Alcohol bleeching is not necessary.....

I think keeping LCD under sunlight is not a good Idea lol.,,,, and if you get such situations don't do it. It affects/damage your LCD screen.

Sunlight doesn't harm LCD screens.. if it is, you can not use your sell phone under sunlight..
