    Hi,

I have a site and i'm number 1 for 368,000 (Broad Local Search Volume: March) and 550,000 (Broad Global Monthly Search Volume), 12,100(Exact Local Search Volume: March) and 18,100 (Exact Global Monthly Search Volume). i'm using https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

I want to know how many traffic should i get with that searches?

I think writing ad-like attractive description tags would be necessary for getting more traffics if you could rank high since Google or other engines would display them is the SERP pages. :)

    Have a nice day,

What search term, and is it number 1 on your computer due to "personalised search results" or not? all data centers all countries ?

What does your serps "snippet" show on those results ?

Been the 1st result is only worth while IF the page title and "snippet" show something of interest to the searcher.

If the search is for something that people buy, and a few spots down in serps google shows a group of "Shopping results" then u are sunk.

Well that depends on the type of kw you have. If it is tough and no one types it in, it makes no use at all

It makes little sense to be #1 for a term with no traffic, you need something that has a lot more traffic then it might actually be worthwhile. Sometimes it's easier to rank for a keyword with 300 searches daily than 30 keywords with 10 searches daily.

Your best bet is to shed some info about your site. Not the URL but what it is about...

Hmm, about 12,000 searches per day and you grabbed the #1 spot?

Studies have shown that the #1 spot gets about 40% of the clicks.

Are you sure that you are logged out of Google and have search History disabled?

Frankly speaking, I prefer not to be on the #1 spot on google, just only because I have experienced the number of hits you get for the first spot and the fifth or tenth spot. The average hits are more for the spots from #5 to #20 than what you get under #5. Most surfers have got this tendency to click the links which have more elaborated short description which displays under the links and they hit only those links. So you need to go through your content and correct some keywords.

You should check these out firsts.

    1. What is your country target? If you are targetting US then you have to check Google.com with USA IP based to see the real results. I have seen many websites owner claimed about the ranking just because they saw ranking in Google.com accessed through their local IP but not a US IP. Sometime both of them are completely different to each other.

    2. Is your keyword a so called "Seasonal Keyword"? Some keyword has a high spike searching because of a season, or important news. ie. "Christmas Gift" when christmas coming

Because you haven't mentioned the keyword/keyword phrase, im going to guess that its either a useless one to rank for or that searches can be inflated by webmasters checking their own ranking for this one.

The amount of searches will not determinate does this keyword has conversion. You better of to use google keyword tool so that you will see the real statistics for your ralated keywords.

Try adding &pws=0 to the end of the url to make sure personal web search is turned off.

Well if you are number one, you should get some traffic from this if the description isnt way off what surfers expects. I looked at google keywords as well and noticed the same amount of searches that you told us.

Like someone else said approximately 40% of searches goes to number 1 spot.

Should give you about 241 visitors per day during a 30-day period according to google keyword tool with 18100 searches.

In this case I ask myself how many of those 18100 searches dont click anything at all and just change search phrase or goes somewhere else.
