Please state which program don't work @ Win 7. I don't encounter any. Is it your own problem instead? Or you don't know how to get it working. Exactly what I'm saying!
What's preventing me from upgrading from XP to Windows 7 is that I'm not quite sure my current programs will work well with the latter. I would consider that a disadvantage. Although the Upgrade Advisor says that everything is fine, I'm still wary. Of course, there will come a time when I really have to upgrade. But by then, all kinks in Windows 7 would have been ironed out.
I like Windows 7 more than Vista. UI look great, but if you're on 1GB RAM, I suggest you use XP. Windows7 or Vista might be just too heavy for your RAM.
You should also consider if you are already using the latest computers in choosing windows 7. We know also that there are incompatible softwares in windows 7. . New features are available in windows 7 that XP dont have. .
I thind the most disadvantage of Windows 7 is that there are many software can not work on it. In another words that Windows 7 has a bad compatibilty with most of software.
It fast. My old XP machine with 2GB ram is slower than W7 running at 1GB ram. And yes, I have formatted the Windows XP, which means it was not affected by the clutter in the machine..
Windows 7 take more RAM for its installation. Also, the system requirement for Windows 7 is more than Vista and XP.
Haha I'm laughing through this thread as more people reply. Take a look yourself and see. Most of the people with negative comments are people who have not tried Windows 7 or their computers are probably 10years old. It's so easy to identify these people who are afraid of trying new things. They usually don't say they tried Windows 7 but only give negative comments. Another group similar to me are people who have been using Windows 7 or already tried Windows 7. You will only see positive comments and suggestions from these people because these are real people that tried and experienced Windows 7 but not giving ASSUMPTIONS. Even those negative comments such as "more RAM required" are tested and proven working well by some people with only 1GB Ram. Even mentioned it's faster and better than XP. Try and see the 2 category of people. It's funny. To those who have NOT tried Windows 7, please don't give assumptions that does not have proof. It will mislead and misguide people who are interested in Windows 7. If you're afraid of this and that, simply don't upgrade and shut up because you have no experience with Windows 7 to even comment about it. So stop spreading rumors and share things you READ elsewhere by someone else. Let those who are already using Windows 7 share their experiences. I've been commenting well on Windows 7 as I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit close to a year until my RC expired and I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. Both works fine and fast for me all along and I've been recommending Windows 7 to people all along. It's always the same issue I've mentioned, people who have not tried are afraid and people who are already using will give good comments. I can jolly well say Windows 7 is by far the best OS by Microsoft compared to all previous release. Once you experienced Windows 7 for awhile and get used to it, you're find that XP is a piece of old junk. ^^
Just right after I said about it. Have you ever tried? If not don't give false assumptions. I did not encounter ANY apps that don't work on Win 7, same as whoever that had already tried. It's either you haven tried or you have don't something wrong.
